Have had this for a year after they bought Sprinkl. The weather simply does not work. It skips when it does not need to. Yes, the setting are right. Read the other reviews here and on the Moen site. this product stinks.

I purchased the 16 zone Sprinkl control box on Amazon 4 years ago and never had any problems. Moen bought out Sprinkl and all they had to do was change the logo, but instead they forced us to replace the unit and adapt to their new app. The app is crap. It’s integrated with the rest of the Moen home devices. …and now as I write this review I am trying to connect the control box to the app. Everything has failed and I never had this issue with Sprinkl. Moen let their pride get in the way and took something from a company who only specialized in sprinkler controllers and morphed into a piece of crap with their marketing team.

The original Sprinkl start up product was great. Moen bought them out & replaced the units. The weather skip never worked. After hours & days on phone with tier 1 tech support- tier 2 never called or responded. Finally my wife said- quit wasting time- order another brand. So another $200 being spent since someone running this Moen division can’t do their ONE job.

We have this product; we didn't want it but originally had a Sprinkl (some kind of start up company) device. Sprinkl sold out to Moen, so we got stuck with this Moen. It has never worked properly in Houston (we need to water all year round!) in over a year of owning it. The app on the iPhone is perpetually messed up. You cannot operate the system using the iPhone Moen app. There have been so many glitches, errors, problems with this. I have spent many hours on the phone over months with Moen. I'm told, "We're working on it. We're aware there's an app issue, we're going to fix it, etc." The "fix" for one problem can take as long as 6 months. Now, there are more problems. Do yourself a favor and stick with a company that's tried and true in the sprinkler business.

When we installed our Moen we were initially pleased with the product and the app. Then we got a power surge that zapped our wifi extender. We have been unable to get someone out to repair the extender so our sprinkler system is not operable and currently in the south it is 100 degrees with no rain in site. The Moen unit does not have a manual button you can physically press on it to run the sprinkler if your wifi goes down. That to me is a huge design flaw and for that reason I would not recommend!

First I have been rather impressed. Setup was very easy and the app is easy. I also got the moisture sensor and have been equally impressed. HOWEVER, all the sudden my schedules and sensor have disappeared in the app. But the system is still using the schedules and sends me alerts that it is doing so. I contacted support and they are very unhelpful. Just delete and reinstall the app. When that didn’t work, they told me just to try new schedules??? They have to escalate the ticket to tier 2. Last time this happened with Moen smart products, I never got a call back in 2 weeks with repeated calls. They clearly don’t test their app (as was also indicated to me by support). I don’t think this product is ready. I can’t recommend, which is sad.

JUNK ... DO NOT PURCHASE. I'm on my second brand new controller, and as the first controller it also does NOT stay on my home network. Works great for about two days and then for some unknown reason - it drops off and will NOT re-connect on its own. Kind of a problem when you are out of town and your lawn needs watering. I tested my home network speeds and it says "extremely fast" for both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. I even purchased a Netgear extender (costing me $100) thinking it would help... the extender works great but it doesn't help this Moen Controller stay on or definitely does nothing to make the Moen Controller re-connect. When it drops off network (and you don't know when it will - and it certainly does), it will NOT re-connect on its own which like i said is a problem when you are not at home.

I purchased a Sprinkl product on Amazon and owned it for many years - I was entirely happy with that product. It was flawless. Moen bought that company and discontinued the Sprinkl product. This replacement Moen product is a complete piece of garbage. The software is full of bugs, it can’t keep accurate schedules, has a horrible user interface, and lacks features that the original Sprinkl product contained. I strongly recommend you avoid this product.
