I received a gray plastic aerator with no type of filtration. The one pictured is chrome and has a mesh filtration screen. Also the plastic aerator is a free flowing gpm which is good for water flow although don’t expect it to filter out any sort of micro particles which are common found in water.

Fit the Roman tub Moen faucet perfectly. No flow restriction and no aeration which is just what I want. Our tub was installed without one and grit shows up in the tub. Now I have no grit. Expect I will have to clean screen periodically which is better than cleaning out tub every day.
