TIPS TO ENSURE GOOD INK FLOW IN YOUR FOUNTAIN AND CALLIGRAPHY PENS
- Each cartridge measures approx 40mm (1.5") in length. Please compare with your current cartridge to make sure it will fit your pen.
- NEVER use waterproof ink as this will clog your pen.
- DO NOT squeeze your cartridge to stimulate ink flow. This will damage the cartridge
- DO NOT drop or even tap your pen against a hard surface as this is likely to damage both the nib, the cartridge and even the seal between the lid and the body of the pen. To avoid accidental damage, always replace the cap after use. This also stops the ink from drying inside the pen.
- OCCASIONALLY wash the nib after use as per the following instructions: Carefully remove the old ink cartridge, placing it on a paper towel to protect against potential leakage. Now gently rinse the nib in soapy, warm water until water runs clear. Dry thoroughly before putting in a new cartridge. Make sure when you put the new ink cartridge in, you push firmly enough to hear a loud "click". This is how you know the ink is inserted correctly.
HOW TO INSERT AN INK CARTRIDGE
STEP 1
Disassemble the Pen:
Unscrew your pen’s barrel from the feed section.
STEP 2
Insert your cartridge:
Find the opening of the cartridge and insert it into the pen’s feed section
STEP 3
Press Firmly:
Push the cartridge firmly into the feed until you feel the cartridge puncture. This may take more force than you expect. You will be rewarded by a satisfying "click"!
STEP 4
Leave the Pen Tip Down:
It can take a while for the ink to fully saturate the pen, so don’t worry if it doesn’t start writing right away. You should shake it gently if you would like to speed up the process, although this may result in a small amount of leakage or spillage.

They fit my Amazon Basic fountain pen. The ink starts off ok. However, today as the cartridge is running low, the ink is very runny.

These ink refills work great and do not smear. You have to push VERY hard to fully seat the cartridge fully or ink will not flow. Don’t fall for the first “click”.

The description said international /standard fountain pen cartridges. They won't fit CROSS fountain pens. They are for MONAGGIO pens. So BEWARE!
