Great gag gift. This only came on to make sound when I pushed a button telling it to do so. Even the SOS made an alarm sound one time and then stopped making any sound at all. This is definitely a unique gag gift.

PROS-- different functions (arm/disarm, high/low sensitivity, etc.) are clearly marked and easy to operate on the remote control (see CONS below)-- the instructions and illustrations are very clear and understandable, but there’s lots of problems with what’s missing in them (see CONS below)CONS-- I’m giving this alarm one star because I’ve been trying for days (and I’m very tech savvy) to make it work, with no success-- there are features missing from the instructions, such as the battery compartment on the remote control is VERY hard to remove the first time; I used a screwdriver to push the tray out from the bottom, which is under RELEASE (after the first time of sliding it out, it slid smoothly in and out); nowhere does it tell you the remote control requires a CR2025 battery or that it comes pre-installed-- after activating the remote, the unit sits on the counter and occasionally sets itself off, with no movement around it and no other rhyme or reason, as if it's lonely

Plugged it in and used the remote to set it to night mode and door chime, works great, range is far and speakers are clear. Now I can hear when someone is out by my car at night, good design freaks out the baddies well

Well, I've had several heart attacks today. Since I live alone I wanted some kind of extra alarm on one not so secure entrance. I left it sitting in the kitchen , forgot it was there, and set it off several times. will work fine.,I think. I have a lot more to read about it. Why do they make the tiny little print manuals? I would be willing to pay a few cents more for something I could read without a magnifying glass.

So far so good. I have 3 in my car due to MICE after they cleared an empty lot at the beach that has never been cleared since the beginning of time. The alarms are so loud, I saw neighbors starting to come check on me until I yelled I was fine! I want more.
