These work great. Much clearer than the older models I have. My kids are very excited to play with them. I have not tested them in long distance but they did work at least 100 yards down the road perfectly.

Battery life claims 19 hours. Reality is closer to 9. chirps and makes random noises even when not being touched. Definitely better options out there. Return window was closed so tried talking to Motorola and got zero response anywhere

Motorola is usually a trusted brand but I would give this item no more than 3 stars because of the range. The description says it is a 16 mile range, maybe that’s on flat ground going from A to B and if so it should have stated that fact, but where I live, the range is approximately 1 mile. The audio is clear and very understandable and it’s very easy to operate, but the range was disappointing.

The description has the statement "With 22 channels and 121 privacy codes, totaling 2,662 combinations". It does not have the privacy codes.Be aware that this only gives you the channels, and not the "2662 combinations".

We use these for our kids while they’re playing in the neighborhood. We’ve got woods and quite a bit of townhouses and we’re always able to reach them with a clear sound. We use these almost daily and just changed the battery after about a month of use.

I see most of the reviews focus on kids and family so I figured this might help people who are looking at these radios for another purpose. Mom and dad are getting up there in age and they are constantly shouting at opposite ends of the house at each other (What do you want for dinner? Did you see today’s paper?) and it’s quite comical to watch actually. But I decided to buy these Motorola radios (walkie-talkies) to eliminate all the shouting and it worked like a charm. Took me five minutes to teach mom and pop (in their 80’s) how to communicate with the radios and they love it. They seem to really like the ring call feature that sends an alert tone to the other radio. The radios work very well around the house and the quality meets expectations for a solid Motorola product.

Se escuchan nítidos hasta los 200 m, después (si se es algo exigente) hasta los 400 m se logra escuchar un poco de ruido (solo si se pone atención, es casi imperceptible), hasta donde necesitaba probar los radios son casi 500m (según google maps) ya a esta distancia si se escucha ruido, pero, se entiende perfectamente al interlocutor (el volumen de la interferencia no es mayor que el de la voz), tengo que mencionar que el área en la que me encuentro no está densamente poblada, sin embargo, hay de 6 a 10 radios de vigilantes/cuidadores con los que se cruzó esta señal (seleccioné un canal del grupo que según el manual entrega más potencia).

Es cómodo y práctico, solo funciona en altavoz (sin auriculares), usa 3 baterías AAA ( conseguí comprar baterías recargables es mejor para su uso), en ciudad tuvo alcance de 300 metros, en playa llegué a unos 4 kilometros y tenía excelente señal de audio aún podía ir más lejos, recomendable para día de campo.
