Only issue is your phone case has to have magnetic ring built in, or it won't work on the phone.

I just bought this. I tried installing a game on it and it keeps disconnecting from my computer. I've scanned it, no errors, reformated it, and changed the port I've plugged it into.

It’s got plenty of space and runs very fast, and it also looks cool sitting on the desk. But this thing overheats like CRAZY!!! I’m not talking overheats just to the point that it’s noticeably warm. I’m talking OVERHEATS, as in, to the point you can’t handle it with your bare hands because it will burn you if you do.

I got this drive for a specific purpose — I’ve recently re-ripped a large-ish collection of Compact Discs (kids, these are shiny circles that we kept music on after records and tapes but before MP3s) and wanted a portable drive to hold all the digital files. This drive, which was on sale for about $100 I think, was about perfect for the job.LikesPackaging/Build quality — It came came in quite a fancy box with its heavy-duty double USB-C cable. It’s a weighty little chunk of gear that fits in the palm of your hand but feels extremely solid and looks very interesting — shiny and sculpted and X-shaped — it looks like something a visiting alien robot dropped on its way out of the solar system. You won’t confuse it with any of your other drives, which was one thought I had when deciding to make this the main backup drive for the all-important music files.Speed — I’m not one of these well-equipped tech-heads who can tell you the exact *real* transfer rates of a drive (thank you tech-heads; I’m always glad to see your reviews). But I’ve used enough digital drives over the years — whether USB or SSD — to know fast (or slow) when I see it. I’ve already used it to transfer literal thousands of music files from one computer to another, and it’s ludicrously fast — just seconds for dozens of gigabytes. I’m confident it’s as fast as advertised, provided you have a fairly up-to-date transfer interface. Not so likesSo I mentioned the drive looks like something that fell from a robot’s back pocket, and it does, and that’s cool, but the LIGHTS are perhaps a bit much. I do like an indication of when the drive is functioning, both in terms of getting power and transferring files, which is the case here, but the bright, swirling, multicolor LEDs stay on constantly, to the point where it’s a bit distracting when the drive is just sitting there waiting for a job. I’ve taken to disconnecting it and putting it back in its heavy, padded box when not in use. But that’s a quibble and the way a lot of these “gamer” oriented drives look.Five stars for Klaatu’s own SSD drive. Get one to bring all your critical files on your next trip through the wormhole!

I really don’t know where to begin. I bought the “1TB RX20” Alien “X”. You want to know it has that solid weighty feel of quality merch. Because It does. I was curious about the lights. They rock like… uh, wait, no. Other things want to rock as hard as this unbelievable gift. Yeah, you can pay for something and still feel like it’s a gift. The lighting is bold and strong. The colors morph and fan out like oil on water in a breeze. Not just from the big “X” on the top, but also on the sides. I swear it must be cycling through all 16 million colors too. Because I’m seeing strange and fantastic color combinations that remind me of the long voyage in “2001: A Space Odyssey”, but moving like in a lava lamp. You really need to see it to get what I’m trying to describe. You could almost just use it as an ambient lamp and still feel like you got your money’s worth. Almost. The Seller? You know how you email the Seller and you check again the next day for a response? Evidently, so does this Seller. Because this guy was waiting for my response. If I’m lyin’, I’m flyin’. (“And I ain’t goin nowhere without my luggage!”. ~Richard Pryor) It’s one of the few purchases I will remember for years and years.I want to buy another one but have other onligations. But I do plan to buy at least one more. Dude, hahaha! You gotta see this! The guy who made it either “an explorer” (if you know what I mean) or the King of the nerds. Either way. My compliments! Wow!Gotta go. I’ll write about how it works soon.

※This review was written using Google Translate, so there may be grammatical and grammatical errors.1. Design- It has a cool design that stimulates adolescent emotions. Right? It looks like a magical item from an animation where a cool robot pops out. Or maybe it's a transformation item. The LEDs shine brightly. It's bright enough that it stands out even when the ceiling light is on, and when you turn the ceiling light off and go to sleep, you don't need a separate mood light. No, it's actually disturbed. LOL.But it has a fatal flaw. It seems weak to shock and doesn't have the usual rubber feet. It seems like it needs a heat test, but the case itself is made of metal, so the heat problem may not be as big as you think. But really. It's a shame that this cool item has such a weakness. You have to use it with caution.2. Performance- My laptop is a 2023 ASUS Zephyrus G16 GU605MV-QR146 model, so it can fully utilize the power of USB3.2 gen2x2, and transfers about 300GB in about 10 seconds. My laptop model is so well-made that I was thirsty for capacity because I didn't want to bother replacing the SSD, and this portable SSD quenched my thirst.3. Price- To be honest, it's expensive. It's a little more expensive than other portable SSDs of similar grade.I got it for a pretty cheap price through Prime Big Deal, but if it was normal, I would have just ignored it.Overall Review- It's definitely good because the overall build quality is excellent and the performance is refreshing. It's a little expensive, but if you're tired of other boring designs and want something cool, there's nothing better than this.
