Great pump. Pumps strong and fast. Does a great job of pumping some mud as well. Great product. Long lasting. All around great product.

I bought this to have a pump like our local fireman brought around last month to move 3ft of water out of our small hand-dug dirt floor basement (a New England colonial-era house). Added a male camlock adapter for a 50ft 2" camlock hose and zip-tied on a 25ft float switch too. I had some trouble fitting the male NPT side of the adapter into the female NPT port on the pump. I'm not a plumber so I won't ding the rating, but I think there is too much black paint on the threads - maybe for shipping protection? That very night I had it assembled and boxed back on the shelf, a neighbor called in a panic with 1 ft of water in their larger old farmhouse basement. Their sump pump was running but it clearly wasn't enough. We dropped this in and it cleared it all out in less than 1.5 hours. It moved an impressive amount of water and we managed to save their furnace from major damage. Turns out their main sump pump had gotten clogged up solid and their backup pump wasn't big enough to keep up with all the water coming in.NOTE: I bought a 2nd 50' hose the next day to help with bigger basements.

We have a 33' above-ground pool. We don't bother covering it anymore so Mother Nature can keep it filled. Every Spring we have to deal with getting leaves out. I attached a 4' section of pipe with a sweeping long radius 90⁰ just barely breaking the surface of the pool. I attached a net laundry to that and let this pump essentially pump the leaves into this bag. Worked like a charm. I am keeping in running to keep the water stirred up so the skimmer can clean the pool water better. Usually you have to rely on the kids to stir the water up but not any more. I love this pump.

My sump pits tend to get a lot of water when it rains for several days and I purchased this pump along with a 50’ hose just in case one day my two sump pumps failed. Well, the day when my sump pumps got overwhelmed with too much water arrived and luckily I had this pump. You do have to keep the pump under water otherwise it will overheat. Overall this pump was completely worth it and it saved me thousands of dollars in potential damage to my finished basement.

I use these in a commercial setting (wastewater treatment plant) way above and beyond what they are built for and they are awesome. I don't even use my gas trash pumps anymore. They will clog easy if you try to pump debris but they are very easy to unclog and if you stick to liquids they work great.I actually expected them to fail by now due to the severe environment but they are still going strong
