Nothing has gone wrong with it yet and I've had the black coating peal off of other products. Happy with the packaging as well, nice that the handle to lift a hot lid is included.

This is a cast iron pot and lid designed for camp use. The lid has a built-in stand on the top if you flip it over it has legs. The wire handle has a groove for centered hanging and is thick wire that can stand over a campfire. The pot is the perfect shape for a stew. The bag keeps it fairly dry even left in the rain. Only a tiny bit of water gets in if placed under a tree. So that’s good. The pot itself heats evenly and performs better than I expected. After seasoning, it cleans up like any other seasoned iron.

I love using cast iron cookware and my previous dutch oven has damage and no longer has a lid, so I chose this one to replace it and for using with cookfires. I got the chance to test this dutch oven out the day after Beryl when the power was out and I couldn't cook indoors, and I made a meat stew in it. The seasoning layer came off in many patches on the inside of the lid and at the liquid line in the pot, and flash rust was showing up when I washed it and put it in the oven to dry.I have since given this dutch oven more seasoning layers with crisco, and it's covering the patches, no longer flash-rusting, and no longer flaking. I recommend giving this oven more seasoning layers before use to prevent the seasoning coming off. This dutch oven is just as one would expect from cast iron in terms of heat retention, durability, and care, and overall I like this pan. I do not like how small the handle on the lid is- if I forgot or misplaced the included hook for it, it's difficult to get a solid grasp on the lid with a potholder, especially when the oven is in my dug out fire pit.The carrying case for this dutch oven is nice, and it's great for taking this oven on camping trips.Overall this dutch oven is a decent choice in cookware, and I'm reasonably satisfied with it.Naturehike Dutch Oven Pot with Lid-4.76 Qt Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Dutch Oven with Storage Bag-Dual Handles-Lid Doubles as Cast Iron Grill Pan, Use in the Oven, on the Stove & Grill, over the Campfire

This is my first Dutch Oven and to summarize the following, I am really stoked about the pot and its capabilities -- I baked bread in it and the results were outstanding. I will do more cooking in it and can't wait. The NATUREHIKE Dutch Oven pot / lid is quite heavy as I would expect from a cast iron pot. I seasoned the pot and lid (which doubles as a pan) with oil, and I learned that procedure (how to season a cast-iron pot) from research on the Internet.I had chosen a bread recipe to make my first experience with this type of pot -- I used the Dutch Oven in my regular oven to heat it up and bake the bread. The basic but solid pot handle that folds to the side was helpful to get the heavy pot in and out of the oven. The lid can be lifted by using the included handle that is separate from the lid in order not to heat up.The even distribution of heat and the amount of heat were just beyond great for my bread. I did white bread and darker rye bread, and it came out with a crust I only would expect from a stone oven. Best bread results ever and I can't wait to cook all sorts of other things in this Dutch Oven / pot. This Dutch Oven pot can basically be used with any other heat source like a grill or campfire -- the pots handle is well suited to hang the pot over a fire -- I have not used this pot in an outdoor scenario yet.I do recommend this Dutch Oven; I wish I had one earlier.

Let me start with the fact that I'm an avid Dutch ovener, and I have 9 Dutch ovens before getting this one. I was very impressed when I opened the box. This is a good size for 2 to 4 people for a meal or up to 8 people for dessert. While it does not have legs to keep it up using charcoal, it does come with a trivet or stand, that can be used to hold it off the coals or as a holder for the lid. It also comes with a lid lifter (albeit a very short one) and a VERY nice carry case to keep things clean and safe. The lid also can be used as a frying pan, saving packing space. All in all, this is a very nice Dutch oven. It has only one thing I did not like about it but can be fixed with just a little work on your part. The inside surface is very rough, so out of the box it will not be very "non-stick". This is something I have seen and had on other frying pans and Dutch ovens. you just have to grind the inside down to a smooth surface. I would not let this fact stop you from purchasing this Dutch oven, It Is a quality oven that has "all in one" things going for it. While most of my Dutch ovening I do is with charcoal and this is what I was looking at in this review, the fact that this does NOT have legs makes it great for Kitchen ovens or using in a Propane BBQ. Again coming back to the "ALL IN ONE" appeal this Dutch oven has
