Okay - first things first. do you *need* one of these in order to make home-made dumplings, wantons, or empanadas? No. No, you do not. But it's a lot of fun and it might be just the thing to get your little chefs in the kitchen helping out with dinner and having a great time while they do it.As others have already pointed out, there is a bit of a toy feel to this, but all it's really doing it helping you fill, fold, and seal your pasta creations, so it doesn't need to be a big, heavy appliance to do its job. For what it is, it is well-constructed and should last a long time if properly handled.

I make a ton of empanadas and I couldn't really figure this out or get it to work. Great idea, poor execution. Looks and acts like a child's toy.

The maker is super cute and does work but do not overfill. I like that you just press the button and it does the rest. My fingers finally get a break. This also works well if you have little helpers in the kitchen and they can help press the button. They are mini, not just small. It's not heavy but serves its purpose. Not sure how long it will last as it feels like a huge plastic machine.

Fun little dumpling maker. I hate having a separate appliance for every little thing, but this one does a good job on something you would need to hand make. You get, uniform sized dumplings or won tons quickly and easily.

I'm lost I never used 1 of these before and it was easy to use just a little small fore to use my 6' 6" hands have trouble getting them out worth the money
