Why do you need PH and TDS meters?

It is a tool to improve your quality of life. Is your water pure and drinkable?

With the push of a button, the TDS water quality tester will tell you your overall water purity level. These testers can be used to test drinking water, swimming pools, fish tanks, RO systems, or hydroponic water. Any environment that requires testing of water can use these testers to get accurate data. You have to be safe because water can be life, but can be dangerous. It can help to know the level of pollution and mineralization of water.

The new intelligent TDS water quality test pen, the intelligent screen can change color due to the water quality technology. The screen displays red (such as tap water) when it is greater than 40PPM, and green (such as purified water) when it is less than 40PPM.

What is the difference between TDS and pH meter?

TDS (Total dissolved solids) digital water tester can accurately and quickly check the heavy metal content, soluble salt content, ionic organic matter, etc. in water, displayed on the screen in ppm (parts per million). extremely accurate and reliable, quick response within 3 seconds.

PH meter is an instrument used to measure acidity or alkalinity of a solution - also know as pH. pH is the unit of measure that describes the degree of acidity or alkalinity.

WHO Drinking water quality guidelines:

high quality drinking water: <50 ppm

Notes:

  • The solution should not over the immersion level.
  • Please clean the electrode after using, turn off and replace the protective cap.
  • This ppm meter can't test sea water.
  • Note that the configured water must be purified water or distilled water. Tap water and mineral water cannot be used to configure the calibration solution. The water must be added in the required proportion, otherwise it will affect the accuracy of the calibration and increase the error. Pay attention to the calibration sequence (6.86-4.00-9.18)

This pH tester kit is a goodtool for casual use, with consistent and convenient testing. It comes with a pH meter and a TDS, EC, and temperature tester pen. The calibration process is simple , thanks to the provided powder and easy-to-follow instructions. The pH readings are relatively quick and accurate, making it a valuable tool for various applications, including fish tank and hydroponic systems. However, it's worth noting that the temperature readings can take a bit longer to display accurately. Despite this, the tester is still more accurate than a standard thermometer. The tester is of reasonable quality for the price, and it's accurate enough when compared to other more expensive pH meters. It's also more accurate than litmus strips. However, if you're using this for critical applications, it's recommended to test the unit with another proven, reliable, and accurate testing kit.

I got these to establish a baseline for my water before I installed a reverse osmosis system. My TDS was pretty high before I put in the reserve osmosis and it showed a significant drop after. I added a re-mineralization filter to add some taste back to my water and I tested the TDS and it was higher than it was with the RO but still much lower than what I had started with. The pH meter seemed to be really off. I used two different test strips to test the pH levels of my water and they both yielded similar results. The meter in this kit was off by a wide margin. I even followed the calibration instructions and tried again. Again the two different brands of pH strips worked great and gave the same results. The meter was way off and said my water was highly acidic. I had a free water consultation from a water company, and during that they test your water as well and the pH reading from their professional equipment also said my pH was fine. So the TDS meter is good, the pH meter is inaccurate.

The TDS meter reads instantly, be aware that the display will show red for anything marginally acceptable or above which tap water will be. The PH meter takes a really long time to zero in, it starts out showing a high PH and then crawls down slowly, probably took at least a minute for it to settle in on the high 7's in a glass of water.

This is both my first ph meter and TDS meter. Both seem built to a budget and that's a good thing as I wouldn't habe one if they were expensive. I do not detect any shortcomings for the price point as both seem decently well made and capable for non-professional use.I will be very interested to test the water acidity from various sources. The set comes with instructions and powders for calibrating the ph meter. Assuming the ph meter was properly calibrated out of the box, my tap water measured 8.95. That is slightly alkaline, but within reason. My tap water measured 72 ppm TDS which is considered good for drinking water.I'll have some fun with this measuring bottled water. I'll also try embarassing my wife with it at restaurants.Overall, very satisfied.

These are nice enough basic meters for home and casual use. They are accurate enough when compared to other more expensive pH meters and more accurate than litmus strips. They come decently calibrated already but you can also recalibrate with the included base pH powders and distilled water. They are quick read meters, so you can take multiple measurements quickly of the same solution to check your readings. It is best to swirl the probe end around the liquid a few times to get a good reading. These work perfectly for my hydroponic systems in measuring pH and determining the approximate EC of the nutrient solution.

The tester is relatively easy to use if you can understand and follow the instructions. Results are consistent and testing is easier and more convenient than traditional pH testers. At first I thought it could be intimidating and questioned the reliance on the device's calibration and accuracy of the test results.I had an old testing kit and the comparing the results were satisfactory for my purpose as a home user. Imay purchase a new non-digital kit to retest and compare. If one were to use this for testing in critical applications, testing the unit with another proven, reliable and accurate testing kit would be recommended.
