It is a big job to replace the belt on a 2000 Kawasaki Prairie KVF 400. The belt seemed a little tight, but worked. I did a light duty break in for 100kms. 50kms later, during normal operation, the belt snapped. I just ordered a new one again to give it a second try (fairly hard to find a new belt for these machines). Hopefully I get more than a few months out of this one. I did like the engine breaking with this belt, however. My OEM original belt had 11,500kms on it when i replaced it and was not snapped (just missing a few lugs). It was also 24 years old.
