This product is more trouble than its worth. I have had frequent issues with it disconnecting entirely from the app. It frequently disappears from my cameras and I end up having to factory reset it every single time which is a huge pain. I can't acces any of the videos that were captured from it when it disappears either, until I reset it, even though they were captured and stored on my night owl dvr. I suspect it is a weak internet connection that is causing this, but I am not sure, and even then it shouldn't remove itself entirely from the app so I have to factory reset it when it disconnects. Huge pain, there are better products out there.

Camera is junk . For the first 30 days after purchasing the item it keeps disconnecting . I have tried everything support has told me to do and it still want connect . It must be a old camera that has been refurbished and sold for a new one . I guess I will lose my money that I paid for this junk camera .

The equipment itself seems to be operating as intended. Decent picture, alerts you win triggered. Two-way communication is not the best and definitely needs improvement. Giving it two stars though because of night owls customer support. It's terrible. I had an issue with the way this tied into my existing doorbell system, no issue of the doorbell itself. Contact night owl several times, customer service, pre-sales and warranty department. They have Representatives that don't seem to know the products and don't focus on the issue at hand. If you call in don't expect for anyone to answer. Best you can do is put in a call back and wait 30 to 60 minutes to talk to someone. Went ahead and submitted this review even though the original problem still exists. I have had other instances in the past and communicated with night owl on other products and I've never been wowed by their customer service. Again, satisfied with product so far but support side needs massive Improvement.

The installation process was a little bumpy for me but the excellent support on their website straightened me out. The notifications were numerous at first but the software allows for easy tuning of what should be registered as “movement “. With the addition of an inexpensive micro sd card I’m happy I no longer have to pay Ring for their online storage. Overall a very good purchase.
