Well made but sticks out too far.

Very nicely built. Powder coating has nice finish and seems of good quality. Doesn’t come with installation instructions, but really isn’t difficult to figure out. Wheel mounting bolts can be adjusted a bit to suit your mounting pattern.

Well made. Worked fine. But it did not come with the flat single plate that holds the unit in the stake pocket . I just made one because it was simpler than returning it.

I have a small Texas Bragg brand trailer with pipe rails that do extend out from the trailer platform. This tire holder fit perfectly in the rectangle tiedown slots and the angle of the tire holder held the tire away from the rail. No rubbing or any contact other than the bolts and the mounting plate. The bolt that holds the unit to the slot was plenty long and it held the bottom plate tightly to the trailer. No movement or rattling around when bouncing down the road. The kit came with all the hardware to get the tire mounted and secured. It fit my spare tire 205 75 r15 with no issue and the slots on the mounting plate were easily adjusted to hit the holes where the lugs go through.

I've installed this on a 12' utility trailer of mine. I've never had a good place to keep the spare wheel/tire. This bracket solved the problem. It installed super easily. It bolted right up to the frame without any issues. Fitting it to the spare lug pattern was simple. I am really impressed with how sturdy it is. Build quality is great! I do need to reinforce the frame of my trailer. I've always been suspicious of it. Now that I have my spare mounted to the frame, I can see it flexing. No big deal... I'll weld on some square tubing and angle iron to beef things up. Now that the spare tire bracket is installed in a spot that I like, I'll probably weld it to the frame as well. It's not necessary but I think it would be good to do while I'm welding things anyway.I fully recommend this spare tire carrier/bracket. It's a quality setup and will last many, many years without any question!

The bolts that come with the unit are not long enough to secure a standard tire and rim.Had to buy standard tire studs and extensions to secure my spare tire and rim.

If your spare tire is mounted where the tool box would go on the tongue this makes it easy to move so you can install a tool box.
