The product had clearly been used and returned. It wasn't packaged well at all the package and product was both damaged but the fact that is had been used and had food particles on it was just gross. It also caused our car to smell like cigarette smoke. Sent back for a full refund.

This was super easy to use for me, I laid it open side down on a griddle and filled every section with batter. Wait a couple of minutes and you can just pull off the mold. Couldn't be simpler and the result was perfect heart shaped pancakes. While pulling it away, the tabs were cool enough to touch. The mold itself is easy to clean (even easier if you do it right away).

This was worthwhile to get as our child was happy to eat her eggs after making them star-shaped. Only issue we had was they we had a bit of trouble washing all the egg out of them to clean.

Tjis is a Nonstick Pancake Molds Ring Silicone Fried Egg Mould Reusable Pancake Maker Egg Ring Kitchen Cooking Baking Tools (Star Shape). I use this little pancake star maker in my frying pan, I found a little tabs were not long enough to keep it out of the pan so the whole thing gets warm be sure to use some oven mitts. It's really fiddly and hard to get the hang of this but once you do it makes some cute little star shape pancakes. It might be easier to use this in a flatter wider pan or a flat griddle as it was awkward in my deep frying pan. This is a really well made mold it is silicone so it is malleable and easy to remove the little pancakes and it washes in the dishwasher very well too. I made these the way I make pancakes in larger metal molds where you fill it partially up Let it cook flip it and then let it finish and then gently remove them with a butter knife and it seemed to work out pretty well. You do need to spray this mold with Pam or another cooking spray to ensure that you have a quick and easy release. I found that with most silicone molds you do need to spray out some kind of lubricant on them. It makes the pancakes super cute and perfect for kids. It's a bit fiddly and there is a learning curve to this hence me not giving it five stars. Once you get the hang of it, it is a nice idea and would be perfect when used with eggs as well.

Too small for chicken eggs, too light, as soon as you put the egg in, the egg white floats the silicone up off the pan and the egg doesn't stay inside the silicone rings. Then, because it has pockets and grooves all over it, the egg cooks in and is miserable to clean. If you're looking for something like this keep looking, this isn't the one.

I love the idea of shaped pancakes but there's no way I'm using cookie cutters to individually cut out shapes from a sheet pan pancake and freehand drawing with batter in a squeeze tube sounds time consuming and difficult to clean. So I was intrigued by this idea and it seemed good in theory. Here's a few things I learned:1) It doesn't matter if you're using a non-stick pan, you have to use butter or cooking spray on the pan and the silicone mold for optimal results.2) Only fill the molds halfway or the pancake batter will overflow and make a mess like in my first picture.3) When I tried popping the stars out when I flipped the mold it broke the ends of the stars off like in my second picture. When I just flipped the mold and let them cook still in it I had a much easier time removing them onto a plate without breakage. If you get a different shape mold with fewer sticking out bits you likely won't have that problem.4) The silicone tabs get really hot because they aren't long enough to be very far from the heat so you'll probably want to use pot holders when grabbing them.5) While these are designed to use in a pan on the stove, that's how I used it too, I think you'll have an easier time if you use an electric griddle so you have a consistent temperature. Monitoring seven little pancakes all cooking at slightly different speeds and trying to adjust the burner accordingly was a little stressful. Cooking in a cast iron pan might also be a good option since it will even out the heat better.Overall I think these are fun and my kid was so excited to eat stars for breakfast but there is definitely a learning curve to using it. Because it's silicone it's super easy to clean though so that's a plus. I think I'd rate this 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4. It's a little tricky to figure out but they look so great once you get the hang of it.

I did not like that the product was misleading. It made it seem like you could place inside of the skillet and the eggs would stay inside the molds. They didn’t they completely ran out of the molds.
