Follow instructions about washing, using butter, and not using metal utensils and it should last years. Looks nice, cleans up easily and durable. Trusted American-made brand. I use a bamboo chopstick to turn them and so far have used protein pancake/waffle mix with success. Takes a bit to get used to turning evens the “oops” taste good.

... or anytime. I did not expect this lightweight pan to work on my glass top stove but it works very well. Not sure why these spherical pancakes taste so good nut they do. A worthwhile purchase.

Top!

A good non-stick coating, a comfortable weight of pan. Just cleaned with a paper towel and some hot water. I use it on a gas hob. Made several batches of ebleskiver successfully. I recommend finding an on-line video of how to make them, they do require a bit of practice , especially getting the batter to the right consistency so that you can make the spherical shape.. Delicious end product, children and adults like them. I am going to experiment with savoury versions and mini potato pancakes to see how they work.

i was roaming around on the web, and somehow saw Ebelskivers being eaten. i was wondering what they were. well. of course i immediately bought a pan after checking it out and seeing the danish-dude on youtube flipping them over, expertly. very impressive! he has a 3-step process which makes them perfectly round, and not the flattish shape you get if you flip it completely over just once. I've had lots of fun making these with the traditional apple filling now, and they are a hit with the kids. the over-the-top carb thing was getting bad, though, so i thought i'd make them out of egg instead. nice! you can mix a bunch of eggs with chives and milk as if you were going to make scrambled eggs (12 eggs plus chives and feta, spam, etc... = about 21 eggelskivers), and do the same thing you would do with pancake-type batter. it's a bit trickier, but definitely do-able. I made round eggs with a cube of spam in the middle. yummy! i ate about 5 for breakfast the other day- easy to take on the commute. of course any filling will do. spam just cuts into any shape well. if i were super-motivated, i'd use a melon scoop, and tell my kids it was the core in the earth.

The Cadillac of pancake puff pans.Non-stick beyond belief. I literally clean it with a paper towel and I'm done. The puffs turn over so easy, they just slide over. I turn them with the tip of a fork.Browns the puffs perfectly.Puffs NEVER stick.Quick, even heat--pan heats up quickly all over, not just in certain spots.I bought this pan to make pancake puffs for my son, who saw the commercial and was begging me for the "set".So, I figured why not get a professional-grade, serious pancake puff pan?I learned its proper name--the Danish Ebleskiver Pan, and then scoped out the pancake ebleskiver pan a.k.a. pancake puff pan market and they all ran around $30 and up, so this was a great deal. Plus, I figure Nordic Ware is a good name, so I bought it.I bought this pan my 7-year-old son, a budding chef, in mind, and gave it to him as one of his early Christmas presents, along with an adjustable chef hat. It made an adorable gift ensemble, and together, my son and I have enjoyed our pancake puff adventures ever since--me, manning the pan and him breaking the eggs donning his professional-grade chef hat .I am soooo happy with this pan. It has made my life easier and making my son's food so much more fun because he requests pancakes daily and this pan performs: pancake puffs are effortless with this pan.The puffs are just little balls of the perfect pancake--fluffy on the inside and browned-just-golden on the outside. I guess you can even inject them, but I haven't really felt the need to, just the plain puff is so darn good. They don't even need syrup, somehow. I have tried sprinkling them with powdered sugar, though--mmmmm, divine!I experimented with various ingredients--I made the standard puff, then I dropped a few chocolate chips on the puffs, which made sort-of choco-puffs, which are addicting--if I don't watch out I may turn into a pancake puff!I even found a neat website that lists all the B&B's favorite muffin recipes! In case you are wondering--you can adapt any muffin recipe/mix and make it as a puff. Just drop a teaspoon of the muffin batter in the pan and it makes a puff, not a muffin. You can even use your fav brownie recipe/mix.So, any muffin/brownie recipe out there can be a puff--imagine the possibilities...I've yet to try a pizza puff, but it's on the horizon.Lastly, it's a great pan if you have super-picky kids. My son's a uber-finicky eater, but I'm thrilled to report that whatever is in a "puff" form just seems so much less intimidating, and so much more appealing to him. We even made hush puppy puffs!!! He loves them!!!Buy this pan, and whatever the puffs--I'm sure you'll agree--this is the pan to make them in.

Love these little pancakes! Great fun to make and eat. Very easy to make. Used a tart jelly, but eager to try other fillings, as well. My son's girlfriend is Scandanavian, and was so happy to see me making them; reminded her of her family on Christmas morning. Their filling was always apple. However, when hand washing after my first use, little flakes of non-stick coating came off several of the pancake wells. As I used only a wooden chopstick to turn the pancakes, I was really disappointed in the quality. Returned the pan, and Amazon sent out a new pan within two days. Great customer service! I have only used the new pan once, but so far so good. Maybe I got a defective pan, but would urge caution with the type of utensils used. Overall, this is a nice pan, lightweight, but yet sturdy.

I got this as one of the 4-for-3 promotion. And it works great. The aebleskivers came out very well, perfectly shaped. Anyway, I did not make aebleskivers with it !! Instead, there is a savory, spicy version of it in Indian cuisine called "Kuzhi Paniyaaram". When I was searching for one such pan, this pan was looking identical that we used to use back in India !!That was when I learnt about Aebleskiver - a Danish delicacy. Anyway, I might try that after I get a good aebleskiver mix. Also, there is the Japanese version Takoyaki, Thai version Kanom Krok etc. That's all the part of learning. As for the Pan, it sits pretty well on my electric-coil range. Heats evenly and the best thing is there is no toiling with turning the aebleskivers. Just a pair of plastic / silicone forks will do. No sticking and all. Yes, you can also use bamboo skewers. But I prefer forks since they are re-usable.Try not to use any metal utensil on this pan. That said, the only disadvantage of this pan is you cannot use high heat. Only medium heat. But that's an advantage in disguise, I'd say. Since, you get great tasting aebleskivers every time instead of very brown or burnt ones.I was a bit worried about getting the one with wooden handle like the previous reviewers said. But no, I got the same one in the photo - black insulated handle. And thanks AMAZON for delivering it on time a week before the estimated delivery date .....KEEP IT UP....
