The big jaw profile provides a vibration free, solid grip for a variety of sizes and long shapes. Being able to finely control the drill feed on the lathe is a big advantage to prevent break out on delicate game call walls. This unique specialty set is great for making game calls and other cylindrical shapes such as pepper mills, reworking chair legs, etc. These heavy duty jaws secured by two screws for each jaw segment have an internal profile to handle larger rounds with ease and minimal vibration.

Short and sweet review. These jaws work great for drilling duck call blanks. The all so work great for drilling kaleidoscope blanks ( eggoscope) and many other blank holding needs when drilling. Kinda like pen jaws on steroids. These are rather hard to find for sale so get a set when you can. Price is right. I purchased 2sets one for a dedicated g3 chuck on my small lathe and one for a super nova 2 chuck on my large lathe. Saves change over when I am doing several different steps making several projects at same time. Highly recommend for your Nova chuck set up you won’t regret the $49 well spent.

I pour my own P/R wine stoppers and these work great for trueing up the ends and drillinf them dead center
