My Border Collie doesn't like hot air balloons and would bark at them incessantly until she'd get hoarse. Bought this and she learned very quickly not to bark like she did.Batteries last about a month but worth it.

It sort of works. It does dissuade my dog from barking..it’s also a random torture device. The problem is I have more than one dog and it can be triggered if the other dog barks (which is an arbitrary punishment for a not misbehaving dog)So as long as you have one dog.. not two… it may work for you.

Can I say zero stars? Never did work, collar actually didn't power on. No real directions and no answers on the Internet. A real waste of money.

This collar is okay. It tones everytime they bark, but only vibrates after several barks. I wish it vibrated everytime they barked. It would be nice if you could pair your phone with it using an app to control the settings of the collar too. I didn't like the way you have to tighten the collar either. I just started using it and despite what I think are flaws, I have a glimmer of hope it may work, just may take longer than I expect. The tone also freaks my other dog out too so it would be nice if there was just a vibration setting. That seems to work better than the toning sound anyways.

After a neighbor, we did not even know left a note on our door, saying our dog barked ALL day. We knew we had to make a change. We had stopped leaving him outside since we did not want him to annoy the neighbors. The collar is amazing and worked after the first five minutes. It was absolutely incredible. When your dog barks the first time it lets out a high-pitched beep. After the second bark, it lets out even a longer high-pitched beep The third bark will elicit a long beep and a vibration. We never even got to the third bark ever. And we have an Anatolian Shepherd! We leave the collar super loose since we don’t really need the vibration component the beep alone fixes the bark problem. If you have a Barker, you must try this collar. It is absolutely incredible. The reviews listed before were super helpful and correct. Now, when we forget to put it on, he doesn’t even bark. It has actually corrected his behavior long-term, not just when the collars is on him.

One of my top purchases. I bought this to help with my new dog, a rescue. He's a fairly large, young dog, and whoever had him before me evidently let him do whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted to do it. He was completely untrained except for being housebroken, which was a nice surprise. Anyway, I was having a lot of trouble with him paying attention to us when we told him to do or not do something. If he wanted to do whatever it was, there was no stopping him. He was going to do it no matter what we tried. He was really bad about jumping up on you and he was relentless about getting into the trash and eating paper, rubber gloves and whatever else he fancied. I tried everything I could think of but was having a LOT of trouble with him. A neighbor suggested a collar like this, and after resisting the idea for a while, I thought that it would be inhumane, I decided to try it out. Well, let me tell you, after a few weeks, he is a different dog. He still has a way to go, but at least with the help of this collar, he's on his way to being a real pleasure to have around. When I first got the collar, I tried it on myself to see how it would feel to him. The static shock goes from 1-99. I tried it on me from 1-5 and couldn't go any higher. When I use it on his bad behavior I haven't had to go any higher than 3 or 4. The only thing I've had to do differently is, when hes being especially hard headed, is to wet his neck under the collar so that the pulse gets through the fur to his skin, which is no problem since the collar unit is waterproof. Now, all I have to do is to use the beep/vibrate functions and he straightens right up and listens to what we say to him, (most of the time, anyway). The shock doesn't really hurt him. It's uncomfortable, yes, but not as bad as I thought it would be before I finally gave up and bought the collar on Amazon. I was on the verge of giving up on him and taking him back to the Humane Society as a result of his over the top bad behavior. This collar has been the one product that I have tried on him that really makes a difference. I would whole heartedly reccommend it, with one caveat. Before you put it on your dog (or boyfriend or girlfriend, ha) try it on yourself so you know what they are feeling. After a surprisingly short period, it will make a tremendous difference in their bad behavior. It's very rare now that I have to resort to the static shock. Usually the beep, vibrate ot the combination beep/vibrate function is all that is needed to let him know that you are serious and he listens to what you're saying. It has REALLY made a difference and I have had zero problems with it so far after about a month of having it. The battery life is great. I charge it up about once a week. ive had no problem with the range but havent had to try it further than about three hundred feet, so I have no idea of the effective range limits. It will work through the house walls as i have had to use it to quiet him from incessant barking at night when we first brought hin home. After a few weeks of using it, there are times I don't even have to use it. All I have to do when he's being hard headed, is reach for the remote and if he sees me, he will straighten up, as he has connected the remote to the beep/vibrate/shock in his little doggie brain. My only suggestion is to use the shock function sparingly and only then after trying the beep or vibrate functions first. It wont take your pet long to realize that one leads to another if he or she doesnt behave. Never use it to punish your pet. Only use it as a training aid. There is always the possibility for misuse/abuse with this collar and others like it. Always supervise kids if they have access to the remote as they don't realize or possibly don't care about what it's doing to your pet. Treat you animals like a part of your family because thats exactly what they are. Love them and they will always return that love tenfold.

I researched every vibrating no shock waterproof dog collar. I kept coming back to this one and decided to try it. TOTALLY exceeded my expectations. It is Easy to use, will fit your puppy or adult dog, and works INCREDIBLY well. My 5 month old mini aussie got buzzed once and no longer barks for every train, barking dog or walking dog. He was barking so aggressively before this collar and my training alone wasn’t working. This was just the thing he needed to get it and understand. I am not embarrassed to walk him now and he seems so much less anxious! It’s like he finally understood to stop freaking out over everything. I still use my hand command to be quiet and give him a treat on walks. This worked the first day after the three warning sounds and the one vibration…no joke. It isn’t irritating him at all and most of the time he doesn’t need it on. No more barking at trains or barking dogs. He wears it on walks and at the most will do a tiny bark and stop on his own. i praise him and he keeps walking! This is a miracle product!!!UPDATE… it’s been a few weeks and the collar is still working with training. My dog is slightly used to it so he is barking a little bit more than at first use. We are still leaps and bounds where we were. I still have to say quiet( with a hand signal and a treat as a reward)but with the collar he still obeys MUCH better.
