I bought this when I saw it on sale for less than half what I paid for my Timemore Chestnut manual grinder. Perhaps it was cheap because its a small brand and the only review said it did not work. I think I know why his did not work. Read On. Mine works perfectly. I drink pour over, AeroPress, and Filter coffee and for these it is perfect. Every bit as accurate a grind as the Chestnut, and it appears to be just as well built. Everything is aluminum or steel, with a solid wood knob on the handle. I see no plastic at all. Machining is great, everything is smooth and solid. NOTE: When mine came out of the box the grind adjustment knob was turned all the way clockwise, what the instructions (Yep!, it has some) call the starting point. If you put coffee in without adjustment nothing will happen, it will just spin. The instructions say to turn the adjustment knob counter-clockwise...the more clicks you turn the courser the grind, and you have to turn it at least 4-6 clicks. For me, 32 clicks (I think there are 50+ levels) is perfect for pour over...but finer than most people probably use. I do not brew espresso so no opinion on that. See the photos, compared closely with my Chestnut the grind is just as even. If anything, it is easier to turn and grinds faster than the Chestnut. Its a great grinder for the price. I have no complaints. Plus, the champagne color looks quite nice.
