Fit is good.I used much longer screws...the ones that come with it, you could yank it right out of whatever it's screwed in to.Works for me.

I wanted to put a lock on my garage door. This worked great for that and it seems pretty stout. Overall happy with this, does just what I needed. I did not use included hardware but never planned on it anyways.
