I have always wanted one of these! I’ve often had to make a trip to the hardware store just to use the thread checker hanging on the wall in the hardware aisle. This tool eliminates that hassle. It’s essentially a metal plate with a variety of male and female threaded holes and bolts, allowing you to test and identify the size and thread type of nuts and bolts. It supports both metric (15 sizes) and SAE (19 sizes). There are also rulers on each side—one for metric measurements and one for imperial (English) measurements. For its purpose, it's a great size. The different thread patterns aren’t excessively crowded, making it easy to use. The plate measures 200mm × 200mm (7.87in × 7.87in) and is a solid 5.25mm (0.21in) thick. The build quality is amazing. It’s extremely solid and will likely last for generations. It’s made of aluminum and steel with rubber feet for stability. There are also untapped holes for measuring diameter, adding to its versatility. I have absolutely no reservations about the durability of this tool.I tested this product with a bin of miscellaneous nuts and bolts. I can never bring myself to throw away spare hardware, hoping one day I’ll have just the part I need. This thread checker made it incredibly easy to identify about 20 different metric and SAE pieces. Every time, I was able to find a match effortlessly.Would I have returned this product after using it for a few days? Absolutely not! It’s durable, useful, and something I’ve always wanted. No more trips to the hardware store just to identify a random nut or bolt. Well done! Wish I could have given it a 6th star...

I had a cheap plastic thread checker that was of questionable usefulness and accuracy, so when it came time to replace it with something better I thought this one looked good. I'm impressed with the weight of the aluminum sheet that is the base of the tool. It's thick enough to have a few threads for even the coarsest sizes, and it should wear a lot better than my old plastic one. I tried a wide variety of nuts and bolts on the thread checker and didn't have any disappointments. I'm pleased with the wide range of sizes that I can check with it, and it should last me a long time.
