While I haven't had a chance to try out this socket yet, it appears to be well made (in my opinion as a professional auto restorer). While I normally work on classics that don't need O2 sensors, even 25+ year old cars now have them, and it was finally time for me to step into the modern era (albeit reluctantly). The socket is marked "22mm", and comparing it to a 7/8" open-end wrench, it appears to be just slightly more snug than 7/8"... maybe just a few thousandths. Should fit very well. The corners of the hex are nicely radiused to help prevent rounding off the sensor hex, as well as eliminating a stress riser that might cause the socket to crack or break. The sensor pigtail cutout seems generous enough to work without pinching wires, and there is even a hex built in to the socket wrench side to allow you to use an open end wrench to turn this in tight quarters. Finished in black oxide, my only complaint is that the lightly oily finish from manufacturing leaves a REALLY weird and strong smell on my fingers. But that's nothing a little brake cleaner won't fix! For the price, it represents a great value, and would complement any gearhead's toolbox.

O2 sensors are usually incredibly hard to remove. Their also usually located in a difficult spot on the catalytic converters and under the car. You can't use a standard 22mm socket because of the cable, though if your car has the clearance, you can try and use a 22mm wrench, though I would use that as a secondary choice over using this dedicated tool. This socket is heavy, weighing in about 278g.,and is a half inch drive, and feels like the type of steel used for impact sockets. It says CR-V which I assume means chromoly Vandium. It fits O2 sensors perfectly, with no slop.I like this one in particular, because it has a hex shoulder at the bottom. For very stubborn O2s having a breaker bar and monkey wrench may be needed to get it out.

Built tough and ready for the job. This O2 Sensor Socket has thick tough walls and the slotted side makes it easy to use on O2 sensors. I would buy it again.

This is a nice O2 Sensor Deep Socket Wrench with a great little cutout for the fragile o2 sensor wire, makes easy work of getting your O2 sensor out of your vehicle and putting it back in. It’s got thick, durable construction as you can see in my pics, and is a great deal for a part that usually runs way more at the local stores.Fits great, and simple to put on your socket with no stickiness and easy to remove as well, it worked very well to get the O2 sensor out of my Toyota and Lexus vehicles. That said, mine arrived looking a little worse for wear (see pics); scratches all over it and I wondered how it got so scratched up. But I applied a little bit of WD40 to it on a rag and it cleaned right up, shiny and semi new.I’ve attached some pics so you can see what to expect, from all different angles. I got mine through the Amazon Vine program, but at the current cost I’d definitely grab another if this one got stolen or misplaced, it definitely wouldn’t break as it’s built tough as you can see, and o2 sensor work is delicate so take good care of yours during removal.

This O2 sensor socket is a lifesaver! For anyone who's wrestled with removing an oxygen sensor, you know what a pain it can be. This socket, which I used on my 2006 Honda Civic, made the job incredibly easy. The 1/2" drive feels robust and provides great leverage, and the wide channel for the wiring is a brilliant design, preventing any damage. The socket grips the sensor snugly, making removal much faster and less frustrating than using an open-ended wrench. It's a well-made, durable tool that's a fantastic addition to any DIY mechanic's toolbox, and the price is fair. Five stars all the way!

This item shipped and arrived fast. This 1/2 Drive O2 sensor socket is very well made, coated and impact rated. I like the 1/2 drive better than 3/8 due to better leverage from a bigger ratchet as we all know that exhaust parts seem to seize together. A little heat from a propane torch does not hurt either. The oxide finish looks just like any other impact rated tool and is well done. The size is clearly marked and the socket has a nice wide channel so the O2 wire does not obstruct you from getting onto the hex head of the sensor. The walls of the socket are thick but the total outer diameter is not so big that it will obstruct you from getting into tight spots. This socket is very functional at removing O2 sensors. The socket is very functional at grabbing a nice snug hold onto the sensor and making removal much easier and faster than with a open ended wrench. The cost was fair and this is a great addition to any tool collection. I rated this socket 5 stars.Just an FYI. I always install the new sensors with a little sensor safe, Permatex brand, high heat, copper based, ant-seize which helps a ton if you ever have to remove parts in the future.

Good solid O2 sensor socket with a slot down the side to make removal of the sensor easier without damaging the wires. The edges of the slot are a little sharp. Worked on my Mazda.
