Was given a used pressure washer and prior owner cross thread the spark plug. Used this to chase the treads and it worked like a charm. I put grease in the grooves of the tool to catch any metal chips. I'd turn it about 1 turn and then back it up a quarter turn or so and repeat this until all the threads were chased. Very pleased.

Remember to put grease on the threads before you use it. In order to keep any metal chips from falling into the chamber. These worked great at cleaning up the threads of a cross threaded spark plug hole. Easy in, easy out.

Cross-threaded the spark plug on my Snapper Push Lawn mower. Had no luck getting the plug back in after this, and did not want to ruin the block, So I bought this tap. Extremely simple to use and saved me tons of money on a new mower and by not having to take it to a shop. This is an essential tool for someone who works on their own equipment.

Cross-threaded the sparkplug on an XE Falcon. Bloody thing was under the air filter intake.Checking my options in forums the suggestions were basically disassemble the engine and pay to get the threads machined.Bought this thread chaser as a last gasp solution.Filled the flutes with grease and screwed it in.Fixed it in 30 seconds.Worth twice the price!

I used this to clean spark plug threads on a GM Vortec 5700... there are a couple cylinders were access is problematic unless you want to take a bunch of stuff apart, and I did not. It threaded in easily, and did a great job - once I was finished, installing spark plugs was easy and drama free. The issue I ran into is that there is no stop, and the wells on the Vortec heads are quite deep.... you can LOSE THIS TOOL IN THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER. Fortunately I went slowly and realized what had happened before it was a problem, but it's something to be aware of. Don't get me wrong - I understand this lack of safety is related to the "limited access" feature... but I'm taking off one star because, sheesh, in 2019 there's a lot of creative engineering talent out there and it sure seems like a) someone would raise a flag and say "this is potential design flaw, and b) figured out a way to retain the shallow depth but eliminate the possibility of it falling off inside the head! :)

Product worked excelent, the threads on the chaser were perfect I was able to check with my tap and die sets thread checker tool. I used it to fix some buggered up spark plug holes in my 1979 Kawasaki kz650' aluminum head, as long as you know how to use a chaser/tap you will have no issues with this item.

THE GOOD:First off this tool worked extremely well for me I used it on a vehicle that had it's factory original spark plugs at 155,000 miles. Needless to say the spark plugs and the threads of the spark plug holes were in rough shape due to carbon buildup. I used this with a standard spark plug socket and applied a bit of anti-seize to pick up the carbon and debris that it removed. (Remember to thread in by hand first and get it started just like a spark plug to avoid stripping the threads)THE BAD: The only bad thing I need to mention and you may not run into this problem on your vehicle but on the Ford Taurus I was working on the hex head area was far too large to allow for the threads of the tool to thread in without making contact with the area around the spark plug.Overall this is a very handy tool, I just wish it would thread in deeper
