About this item

  • OPENS AND CLOSES BRAKE BLEEDER SCREW: Bleed out air and dirty brake fluid with the tube and bottle of a brake bleeder kit and this brake line wrench; It has both 1/4 wrench and 3/8 wrench ends
  • SPECIALLY DESIGNED: The box-end wrench offers more contact with the bleeder screw, reducing the chance of stripping a tough screw; The chamfered drive ends make it easier to quickly attach to the bleeder screw
  • DURABLE: Made from shock-resistant S-2 Steel, this brake wrench is durable enough to withstand repeated use in a garage; It is harder than tools made with chrome vanadium; It is built to be a reliable part of your brake system bleeding tools
  • EASY TO USE: The offset ends allow clearance for easy turning; The wrench is long enough to get the needed leverage, but short enough to fit in the brake area comfortably with the rest of the brake fluid bleeder kit
  • A BRAKE TOOL FOR THE AT-HOME OR PROFESSIONAL MECHANIC: Whether you need to service many different automotive brake bleeder systems as a professional or a neighborhood mechanic, adding this to your brake line bleeder kit covers 1/4" and 3/8" screws

The OEMTOOLS 25318 Brake Bleeder Wrench opens and closes the car brake bleeder screw in order to clear front and rear brakes of air and dirty brake fluid. This brake bleeding tool features a different size wrench on each side, enabling it to fit both 1/4" and 3/8" sized brake bleed screws. The box-ends of this brakes bleeder wrench provide a greater surface area of contact than wrenches with open ends, which decreases the chance of stripping a tough or seized screw. You would fit the wrench onto the bleeder screw before attaching the brake bleeder hose and leave the wrench there while the brake bleeding system did the work. This brake bleeder tool features chamfered ends for a smooth and quick attachment to the screw. Made out of shock-resistant S-2 steel, this hard to break line wrench offers a durable construction and greater material hardness than tools made with chrome vanadium. A great addition to your offset wrench set, this wrench's offset ends give plenty of clearance when applying torque. This wrench works well in a brake bleeding kit due to its size; it is large enough to get the necessary leverage to loosen the bleeder screw, but it is small enough to fit in the brake area without overcrowding. If you're looking for a 1/4" and 3/8" wrench to add to your OEMTOOLS wrench set or your brake bleeder wrench set, the OEMTOOLS 25318 Brake Bleeder Wrench is the durable, strong, and easy-to-use choice.

This is a good long box end wrench that provides leverage for brake bleeder valves of matching size. I have other open and closed end wrenches of this size but not of this length. I purchased this in case I would need it as working on brake bleeder fittings on older vehicles is a pain. (If at all possible use a penetrating type oil applied several times beforehand as Iv'e snapped fitting or rounded them out with other open/closed ended wrenches.)I ended up using a socket just to see if the bleeder would open and it worked , but the brake bleeder wrench is easier to use versus a socket/ratchet setup.A disappointing aspect to the wrench that doesn't affect it use is the packaging. A typical cardboard back with clear plastic molded front. The plastic was yellowed, brittle and cracked open at both end where the wrench is packaged. Some tools that come packaged like this can be returned to the package for storage. I have a tool box so it was no big deal, not worth a return, but if I were to give this as a gift it would look like exactly as it appeared, and old stock item that had been laying around for years on the shelve in sunlight. A small sticker on the back reads "12/51/02" possibly a date code.I have purchased automotive parts from other vendors on the web and they represent themselves more clearly indicating manufactures closeout inventory and the absence or condition of packaging. As this wrench is "new" the packaging looks old and it would behoove the seller to give a more accurate description of the packaging and reflect it in the pricing.

Poor quality. i'm embarrassed to own the poor quality wrenches!! I'd like replacements if they are properly manufactured.
