We have gone through several charcoal chimney's that we have purchased for much more than this. This one is just as great, if not better. We love the shape and the handle. It's a nice design. It helped us get the charcoal for the grill started quickly and easily. It's a great chimney for a great price.

This a very nice, sturdy, stainless steel charcoal chimney with a number of good design features. Things like it has folded over edges along most of the top. The edge above the handle has a rising lip to help protect hands when emptying burning charcoal. The heat shield for the handle runs almost the entire height of the chimney. The handle is angled to the body of the chimney and when lifted by the heavy wire, it balances at a tilted foward angle. That's a nice balanced point to empty coals. It has a lot of aeration holes to help the coals come to temperature. This is well designed and nice to use. Five stars.

These ship with the handles uninstalled, you will need to put them on before use.The installation of the main handle is easy with the included hex key, the loop handle just fits into some holes. One thing I noticed was that the bottom is made from formed and welded wire, kind of like the guard on a fan.The openings in the wire bottom will allow broken pieces of briquets to fall through, so you might want to be careful to only place whole briquets into it.The bottom will give good airflow due to the minimal coverage. This should allow it to heat up faster than the style with the sheet metal bottom. The body of these looks well made, and the heat shield does not move or rattle. The wire loop handle will make dumping it easier, and it stays out of the way if you don't need it.I can't wait to try it out, but the smoker is currently buried under 18 inches of snow so I will have to wait.

This Charcoal Chimney may be the last one I ever buy. My last Weber chimney lasted almost 10 years, and this one has a better design with higher quality materials. I love the extra shield at the top to keep the heat away from your hand as you dump the coals. That was always a problem for me with the old one and with this one I don't need to wear a glove. The whole thing is made from 1.5mm thick stainless steel. The front part of the top has rolled edges for stiffness and is a very nice touch. They clearly put a lot of thought into the design which I think looks as good as it functions. This would be a great purchase or gift for anyone who like cooking with charcoal.

Good quality fire starter that works well and looks great. Do not like to use chemicals for my charcoal and this is well built and works as stated. Has plenty of room for paper to start the charcoal and it lights easy. Handle is well made and easy to install but no instructions are included. Look at the box to see which way the handle goes and a ball end Allen wrench is included, a nice touch. Unit is made from good quality stainless material and I like the extra cap on top to deflect the charcoal when you a pouring it out. Unit hold it shape nicely and is robust in design. This unit looks much better than the plain jane ones at your local box store and so far I am very pleased.

This charcoal starter is a thing of beauty, it is almost a shame that I'll be using it soon to start coals. When you look inside there's a mirror finish to the stainless steel. When you pick it up you can tell it is made of heavier gauge metal that those other charcoal starters. It came with some assembly needed - basically you have to attach the handle. They provide some small machine screws for this and a hex wrench, so you don't need any tools. At the bottom, there is a grill that holds the coals inside and this is made of heavy gauge wire attached with machine screws. Places where metal sheets meet are attached with rivets. At the top, the edge is folded over so you can't cut yourself on it. You'll notice that there is a deflector at the top above the handle. This is a very nice feature that will save you some heat after you've started the charcoal as it deflects the flame away from your hand. My older, worn-out charcoal starter doesn't have this (and isn't as nicely built!!) and you have to be fast at dumping the coals out when they are ready.I look forward to many, many years of usage for this charcoal starter. As for the price, this is definitely a case of you get what you pay for! It will be worth it if it lasts a few years and results in fewer burns on my hands!

I've had really good luck with the Only Fire brand, and this unit is no exception. It's very solidly built out of quality steel and should last a long time.I have your basic weber unit, and this is more solid.

This charcoal chimney is great. It has a large capacity and should provide sufficient burning charcoal for typical grill. I have a small personal grill so it is much larger than what I need, but it’s nice to have the option of a large capacity. The handle is also big and spaced far enough away from the body of the chimney that you can easily grip it with a heat resistant glove. The extra hinged handle to help stabilize the chimney as you pour is a nice touch.I personally like the design and look. It feels very sturdy and I’m confident it will last for a long time.
