Order arrived promptly. Package and contents arrived undamaged. Carbide inserts fit my insert holder perfectly. Have used it to cut walnut, poplar and purple heart wood. Cuts cleanly so far. Minor complaint--unlike other carbide inserts, the sides are not numbered. User must devise own system for indexing.

These are good cutters, they made my 13” General planer really quiet compared to HSS cutters, the only drawback is that as these are usable on all 4 sides so you have to be careful that they stay square to the head. They can cant on you and cause scalp. I just use a thin piece of scrap to make sure the cutter stays square when tightening. Otherwise they appear decent.

I use these on my EZ turn lathe tool. The original cutter lasted over a year and I wore out all four sides before ordering these which look exactly the same. On the good side they seem sharper than the original and cut very well. On the very bad side I have had two of these break right through the screw hole. I never got a chance to turn them to the next side. This happened to the diamond shaped cutter that is also made by this company. Broke though the screw hole. They are cheeper than the original cutters but are they worth it? I am now on cutter number three. Lets see how long it lasts.I have an update on these cutters. My carbide tools are shop made and the threaded hole was too close to the end of the tool for this cutter. The hole in the cutter is a little bigger than my usual one and it allowed it to hang over the end of the bar too much and caused it to break from the added leverage of the spinning wood. I have now moved the threaded hole back more as the picture shows and have had no breakage since.
