We have 2 older model trucks one a 99 the other a 97 model and this works perfect to get fuel filter housing off makes it alot easier to spin off.

high quality and fits both styles of fuel filter caps, the insert for the extension is solidly placed in the center of the tool as well. have used it several times and has yet to crack, break, or slip. 10/10 recommend.

Very well made product! Removing and replacing my fuel filter cap on my 2002 7.3 PSD was very easy with this tool.Some specialty tools are poor quality or don't really fit well. This one seems heavy, solid, well made and fit perfectly once I figured out which was the correct side (label side up for mine).I thought about buying an after market cap set up for a socket instead but I like this solution better because this way I can change the fuel filter on any 7.3 (or 6.0 apparently) whether it has the factory cap or after market.This wrench does everything it's supposed to do and does it exceedingly well. It deserves 5 stars even without the "Amazon rating inflation factor."I suspect some of the folks who complained that this wrench wouldn't fit:1. didn't think to flip it over - the two sides are different.2. don't have a 7.3 or 6.0 PSD.3. have a used vehicle with an after-market fuel filter cap.

Works well. The center of the tool is metal so it won't strip the 3/8 square. Fits on the end of a 3/8 ratchet extension or straight to your ratchet wrench. Works with a variety of caps but not with a cap with a raised center piece. The square stubs on this tool are not long enough to reach down into the edges of the cap if the cap has a raised center hex. FYI.
