I really like some of the features of this device. It might have something to do with the connectivity of your car. I like the ability to add apps like Prime Video. It does not always connect automatically. Once connected it works great and sound and video quality are excellent. It is a decent value as the price is high for this type of device.

Android only!! This carplay adapter was easy to set up. It had great connectivity and streaming capability but the sound quality could've been slightly better imho. Functions well for its use, but unfortunately, I got a new phone which is an iPhone and now I can no longer use it. As long as you have an Android, this will provide great value for your money.

I'm using this with my Pixel 8. It's been a great upgrade for my car 2016 Kia. It connects wirelessly every time I get in, so no more messing with cables. Interface is smooth and really easy to use. I love how I can have Google Maps and Spotify open side by side with the split-screen feature. Apps like YouTube also work without any issues when I was using my phone as a hotspot.It is on the pricier side for what it actually does, but for how much it’s simplified and improved my driving experience, I think it’s been close to worth it. I still think the price should be lower which is why I removed a star. It’s one of those things I didn’t know I needed until I tried it.

Like the product except for one missing feature that’s show. Split screen is not available or showing anywhere, and is not selectable in widgets as it’s not shown. How does this get added or do I need to return the product?

I've had a couple of these now and this is probably one of the more frustrating ones I've used. I have in-car wi-fi so the setup was easy, once it decided to detect the network, which it wouldn't do sometimes. It does this weird thing where it will connect to the car but not my phone, which defeats the purpose of the Autoplay. I have to manually go in and connect the phone to the Bluetooth every single time and it's both annoying and frustrating. Further, despite having an "app store" I can't download Hulu even though it's an "Android tablet." I'm seriously about to can it because I've had cheaper versions that worked better.

This ottocast P3 lite gives a premium Android Auto experience in your car. This device is essentially a headless android tablet, with many special features. There are entirely way too many features to cover in this short review.So I'll just point out some of the most important aspects.First off a lot of Android Auto adapters have compromised functionality where as this device has a full Google Play store! and you can go to the Play store and load apps. Not only that this device doesn't need to rely on your phone for connectivity because it actually has a SIM slot and you can put a SIM card in with a mobile data plan and this device will connect to the internet. Another neat feature is the device will adapt to almost 100% of the displays out there in the market. In case you don't know each vehicle has a unique display size and dimensions this P3 light device will auto fit the display to the particular screen inside of your vehicle.The device is also very fast and responds almost instantaneously. There is also a slot where you can utilize a TF card to expand the memory, so that gives you plenty of room for movies and music and ensures you're almost never run out of space.In this device unlike many others supports dual band Wi-Fi both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz if you desire a wireless Android auto experience.Also this device has a very unique split screen functionality where on half the screen you can have your maps and the other half whatever other application you want. This is very similar to the functionality in Samsung phones where you can perform split screen activities and have two apps visible at once.The manufacturer off also offers the ability to upgrade the device via firmware updates.Another neat feature is your ability to change the startup behavior of the device. Let's say each time you get in your car you want the GPS and Spotify to start up You can set that up.Overall This device feels rather solidly built and comes with all the required cables You just need to provide a car and a power source, 😆.I understand the price is fairly steep but for that price you're getting a lot of great features that are seldom found in other adapters.
