Surprisingly high quality, better than a modern Dietz Comet or 8" Stansport lantern. It is on par with vintage Dietz or Feuerhand lanterns. Even though it's quite a bit smaller than the Comet or Stansport with a tiny 5mm wick, it burns with a 3/4" wide bright white flame rivaling their candlepower. It burns paraffin lamp oil without any smoke or odor, even for someone like my wife who is very sensitive to such things. Being unpainted stainless steel, it hasn't scorched or discolored like painted lanterns do. It's a copy of a very rare WW2 era lantern, with originals being very collectable and expensive. Cute and functional, I can't find any fault with it.

My husband has a love of old lanterns, especially oil filled ones, so when this popped up I jumped on it! This is the cutest little functional lantern that I have seen in a while. We keep it on a bookcase, more of a show piece but we did try it out and it works well for emergency use. Seems to be well made with good materials. Haven't had any leaks or anything during the times that we have used it but with anything like this you have to be aware of the risks and take precautions.

Very small oil lamp. Nice quality and works well. Came with 2 extra wicks. Packaged very well. Colored glass replacements are available in a variety of colors as well.

To say it is small would be a grand understatement. It is just 6 1/2 inches tall. The wick is about 5/16 inch wide. Cute would be the best way to describe it. It looks great as a decoration and when you inspect it closely, you can see it is well made. You will have to use your imagination as to uses. You could use it to guide you into the bathroom in a power outage or as some sort of navigation aid in you otherwise darkened home. You might use it if you were camping, but it would be hard to carry it in a back pack with fuel in it as it would leak. So, you would have to carry the kerosene separately in another container. Anyway, it looks really nice and is well made, just keep in mind you are not going to get much light out of this outside a two foot diameter circle.

It's cute, tiny, and works well. This small lantern is incredibly compact and would fit perfectly on a tabletop or similar setting It seems well-made and performs well for its size. I also appreciate that it came with two extra wicks and arrived in good condition. The light output is adequate for its size, but don’t expect it to illuminate more than a tabletop. This lantern is really more about aesthetics than functionality. If its primary job is to look good, it certainly excels at that.As for value, it’s a bit tricky—while it serves a niche "for appearance" role and still remains functional, it definitely sits apart in terms of pricing regarding its larger counterparts.

This is extremely well made from good quality stainless steel. Burns for up to 10 hours on one fil. Very functional for camping, hiking or even power outages. No leaking. A bit pricey.

I love having backup means of lighting (that doesn't require batteries), and ambience for the evenings. This little lantern is great for both! Although small (some might call it tiny), it does put off a nice warm glow and a bit of heat. Seems to be well made, and came with a couple extra wicks. I could see this being a gateway to higher end lanterns.
