I used to love sandwiches made in a sandwich maker as a kid. However this ruined my memories and expectations. The idea is easy, you put slices of bread and what sandwich you want in the middle. but this make takes 20 min to give you a soggy bread that's not even toasted and a hint of warmth. The bread never had a crunch on the outside. I tried preheating, I tried different breads, I tried different stuffings, but nothing worked. Waste of money and time. It's easier and faster to make it on a griddle or toaster oven than this junk.

It's easy to use and doesn't take too much counter space. It's also easy to clean as well.

I bought this sandwich maker for my 6 year old who is obsessed with Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. Now my older kids can make 2 sandwiches at a time and even pre-make and freeze them, so he can have one whenever. The removable plates make clean-up a breeze. Last week, they made grilled cheese and then after a quick change, I was able to grill a flat iron steak in between their sandwich making. This weekend, we're trying the waffle maker plates. They can't wait!
