Simple, lightweight, and I won't injure myself if I accidentally bump my leg on it.I also received a black one, not aluminum color.It fits a little bit loose. I wrapped some silicone wrap around the insert to remove the excess play so it won't make a rattling sound.The hole is plenty big for any soft shackle.It looks nice, so I'm just keeping it installed at all times.

Extremely happy with this product. Mine came in a glorious black finish that has stood up well so far. Much impressed with this product and it was also well packaged as not to be damaged in transit.

Shipping was fast, great product, does come Black Powder Coated which was a surprise as photos looked like raw aluminum. Really well made piece though.

fits in my hitch just fine (4runner). i wasn't expecting black, but the color doesn't matter to me. ymmv. another set of holes would have been nice as i'd like it to not stick out so far. but that is fixable. anyway. it is exactly as pictured/designed/described minus the color.

It's a couple pounds, black powder coated, looks like the logo was placed with maybe a stencil during powder coating. Fits both horizontal and vertical with it mounting almost to the widend part of the hitch probably sticks out 3" from hitch mount. But definitely black lol, the box says clear coated aluminum for weathering. It is not cheaply welded but milled very nicely. We'll see.

Looks to be very good quality. Won't know till I need to put it to use. It is indeed black powder coated. Probably offers better metal protection than the raw aluminum but the raw aluminum would have been more attractive. It has a weight of over 2 lbs printed on it. way more than product description stating it is 1 lb. One reviewer stated it does not fit. It fits my 2" hitch perfectly.

**Revised**Do not buy. The ad shows a bare aluminum soft shackle mount. They have revised the part and are now powdercoating it. I wasn't thrilled about it but was going to keep it. I went to test fit the mount into the receiver hitch and it doesn't fit. All my other 2" receivers fit. Got out the digital calipers and measured 2.033". The powdercoating has added to the size and it no longer fits. As much as I want to keep this soft shackle mount I am not going to accept that I have to strip the powedercoating off of it in order to make it useful. Return process is started. Supplier already stated they don't have any bare aluminum parts. If they do get them I would love to have one. But as delivered to me, the powdercoated version won't work.**End of revision**They only come in full black powdercoat now. Much prefer the raw aluminum as pictured.

Fits into the receiver with a little play. The soft shackle hole has enough room to easily pass through the eye of a soft shackle. The finish is completely smooth without any burrs or nicks that could cause damage to the soft shackle. This is a nice upgrade to my setup.
