Poorly packaged and didn't come with the snow cone cup holder. Also, there is no back glass to keep the shaved ice cool.

This machine grinds ice like a champ, amazing! One thing I don't like is that there's no front door. Amazon delivered it on time but it came in a plain open box. the bolts that attach the ice pusher were not there. They did refund me a percent of the purchase which made me happy. I just went to the hardware store and bought the bolts for a few bucks. I did read in other reviews that people pushed the ice pusher into the blades and made blue plastic into the ice. Well that's why it has a bolt holes that you insert a bolt as a stopper so it doesn't go so far! In the pic its a pin, see it under the handle! The other thing I'm not fond of is its drain, but you can live with that no big deal.

The Cooler SnoCone Machine is a great tool for my business. It is indestructible! It is much less heavy than other snocone machines I have used. It's igloo shape is a fun design and it is extremely easy to operate. One other feature that makes it very user friendly are the built in wheels. They allow you to simply place it on the ground and pull it to wherever you want to take it.I own 2 other paragon machines just like it. I have had them for at least 5 years without a bit of trouble. I would not dream of purchasing another type of snocone machine.

It has been five months since I bought this machine brand new and it is no longer usable "as-is". There is a major design flaw with it- the arm/handle that presses the ice down into the blades is made of plastic. Why is this a problem? Because the powerful motor and steel blades grind the ice into the plastic arm/handle that causes it to have blue plastic shavings (similar to pencil sharpener shavings) blended in with the ice. After a full summer of use (I didn't realize it was an issue until I started seeing the shavings mixed into the ice), the end of the arm/handle now looks as if a beaver has been chewing on the end of it. I do not understand how this could be overlooked and why a metal arm/handle wasn't originally installed.I contacted Paragon (I didn't purchase directly through them but I did purchase brand new through Amazon) explained the situation and was told they could send a replacement arm/handle, still made of plastic. Why would I want to replace a defective part with another defective part?!? I asked for a refund and they said they couldn't because I didn't purchase from them even though I have a manufacturer's warranty. Here's a tip Paragon- if you want customers to keep purchasing your products you might want to keep them happy. Paragon lost me as a customer. Not because of the defective product but because they didn't do anything to satisfy my legitimate complaint. I will now be purchasing my concessions from someone I should've purchased them from in the first place but didn't have the money at the time to do so. Your loss Paragon.

We loved the look of this Sno Cone machine but there are a couple of problems that make it frustrating to use. There is no base plate or false bottom so when the ice melts it has nowhere to drain to. In Australia it can get quite warm and when making Sno Cones to demand you inevitably get some melting. When the ice does melt the drain plug sits too high in the machine so the water needs to build up a bit before it will start draining. We can't allow the water to build up as otherwise the fresh ice being shaved will just turn to slush. Draining by hand is difficult and time consuming. I now need to spend $$ to get a base plate/false bottom made up.We are also experiencing inconsistency with the shaved ice. Some times it will shave perfectly and other times some will come through with small/medium chunks of ice in mixed in with the finely shaved ice.And lastly some of the ice shoots out of the open side when you shave it, so whether the blade/blade housing isn't sitting properly or whether it's another design fault I'm not sure?We were looking at purchasing another 3-4 to add to our other Sno Cone machines but we now need to look to other manufacturers. This machine is also a bit big for our needs but it's light weight is a real benefit. Unfortunately the drawbacks far outweigh the benefits, for us anyway.
