This door lever is awesome. The smooth matte finish feels good in my hand every time I grab it to open the door. Starting with the box, to two different latches, and matching colored face plate, this lever is top notch. The privacy mechanism works well, too. It works by pushing in the locking pin from the inside, then the outside gets locked. From the inside, you can simply move/turn the lever and the door will unlock. Hence, you do not need to pull out the pin to unlock.One caveat to installation is that the middle pin should be installed through the latch opening first, prior to installing the handles. I tried to install the pin on one the outside handle and then putting it through the latch opening and then installing the inside lever and got an interesting result: the outside lever would turn but would like move the latch but the inside lever would move the latch.

I ordered this lever to compare it to higher end door hardware. Specifically to Emtek. I think the weight of it is great. The mechanics of the lever is also firm and a tight swivel. The square rose is somewhat smaller than other hardware, so if it's a retrofit and you have a cut out in the door already, you'd want to take that into consideration. The title says that its solid brass and that's what I liked about it - however the specs of the item says 'metal' - so I'm not sure what it correct. In the end - it's a solid hardware. Worth the price? - I'm not sure since the weight and solid-ness of the hardware really doesn't matter that much once it's installed - it's more the mechanics of the turn that make it feel quality or not - which I think other less expensive brands could deliver. However - if you're considering the high end expensive brands - this is still cheaper and might be of comparable quality.
