I had to replace one of the spurs on an old Pearl bass drum because it got damaged (my fault, not Pearl's) so I bought a set of these and replaced both sides. Even though it was an older bass drum (late seventies), these went on without a hitch and they are perfect. Very good quality, strong and sturdy. And they didn't cost an arm and a leg.

This item is a direct replacement for my Pearl Export series bass drum. I had been looking for a while at local stores and I couldn't find what I needed. After finding out which model I needed, I purchased these. The package contains two complete replacement bass drum spurs including all hardware necessary to install. This would also work great as a replacement for any brand of bass drum with some minimal drilling.

I bought these to go on a drum set that was gifted to my daughter. The gifted drum set is fairly old and well loved, and one of the original spurs had broken off.Pros:They look greatvery sturdyCons;NO instructions!!The spurs that were on the Pearl drum we have had one hole. One large hole. These have multiple smaller holes so we had to drill new holes. Not a big issue but a template would have been great! I would think a long standing company such as Pearl would consider that not all who purchase their materials are seasoned musicians who know what they're doing, and include instructions and template.

My original drum spurs that came with my export kit got worn out from touring so much and eventually fell apart. These were the exact ones that I needed to replace them with. Great buy!
