Your cart is empty. Wax resist is a great aid to potters and ceramicists who want to keep their glazing neat and clean. You can paint the bottoms to protect your pots from absorbing glaze, and you can also paint designs on your pieces to show off the unglazed clay with negative space. You can also paint wax on to greenware and then with a damp sponge wipe around the wax to show depth of design. The wax will burn off at low temperature during the bisque firing process (approx. 500 degrees), revealing designs, base colors, or just unglazed pot underneath. The wax slows drying in the areas where it is applied, and burns off in the bisque firing. The only purpose of the wax is to make it easier for you to wipe the glaze off. Dip your brush in soapy water or fabric softener before using wax resist, and the brush will be easier to clean.

Too runny / liquid, clumps up quite fast, not thick enough to quickly resist glaze (lots of sponge cleanup required).

The wax is easy to apply, gives good coverage with little effort, but, it could be a little darker making it easier to see.

It is thin so it will run into areas you don’t want it to go. I wish it would be thicker. The color is good so you can see where you have applied.

I haven't had a chance to use this yet, but have used it many times in the pottery studio I take classes at, and it does what it should. Easy to clean off after glazing as well. I would buy it again.

I saw a tiktoker recommend this one because it repels glaze better so I tried it and it’s actually true. It applies more evenly than the other wax resists I’ve used before as well, my brush doesn’t stick nearly as bad. 10/10

We love this wax! It is a little drippy but once you get used to that it dries fast, you can see it and it works great. Definitely recommend leaving wax to set up for a few hours - the longer the better - but even using it as soon as it dries is effective. We will be sticking with this wax.
