This is a good de-shedding tool. It works well and does what it should. I wish it was built a little more sturdy because it feels like I could break it easily if I'm not careful when brushing my yellow lab. Overall I'm satisfied with it though.

We've been using this pet grooming rake for over 2 months now and can honestly say it does an excellent job. We use it on our Aussie-Doodle who has thick fur that mattes easily. The nicest feature is that the rake is dual sided with wider teeth on one side. This is very helpful when grooming legs and areas around the belly. Removing the accumulated hair is super easy. When done, we rinse it clean and let it air dry.Highly recommend.

This has become my heavy-duty brush for two of the fifteen cats here who have particularly thick undercoats. You know the type of fur - it's short, thick, and deep. They shed like no other, no matter how often you stay on top of daily grooming help. You have to be careful and gentle because the brush is metal and angles in, but dang does it finally get down deep and pull out so much loose fur! I swear I could make another fifteen cats just outta the stuff I pull from one of my fellas in particular. Helps that he loves it! Easy to use and easier to clean.

Pros:Fantastic-feeling handleGreat performanceHair comes off easilyCons:NoneThe handle on this brush is so great to use, with its silicone-like feel it is highly unlikely for it to slip off your hand while also creating a more comfortable user experience. It took hair off my cat so easily, and also helped deal with hair matting, too. Cleaning this brush is a breeze as it only takes about 5 seconds to remove a huge amount of hair off of it.

We have two mixed pups - and this time of year we are dealing with a lot of 'tufting'. This rake is a little more aggressive than I use on a daily basis but it is ideal for helping encourage the tufts on the hind legs to let go. Both dogs didn't seem to mind it at all - and stood freely while I combed them. I think for every day use it is better suited for longer haired dogs - but for occasional or seasonal use it is perfect for us.

This pet grooming brush is fantastic! I have had other grooming brushes like this, and I will say this kind works better than anything else. The handle is soft and fits great in my hand. The two sides have different metal combs that allow you to groom your pet thoroughly. I use the one with the most combs to groom my cats, but the side with less would be awesome if you had a double-coated pet, it will really be good for dematting and removing undercoat. And the side with more teeth works great for more finish work. I use this on my cat almost every day, and she loves it! It pulls out a stunning amount of hair - and that is so important, especially during shedding season - your house and vacuum will thank you!

I thought the combination of the wide-width and small-width tines would be great for our doodle, but alas I was wrong. Neither side of this grooming rake removed even the smallest mat in our dog's fur. All it did was pull my dog's fur and make him not like bring brushed. On the positive side, the handle was very comfortable to hold.

We have one long-haired dog (a papillon) and two double-coated shedding machines (Alaskan Klee Kai), so grooming tools are a must in our home. I got this product to address some of the matting that our sweet old papillon gets, especially behind his ears and around his collar, as he doesn't allow us to brush him regularly enough to prevent them.To be fair, he's still terrified of this grooming rake and screams when you brush him, but he does that with ANY grooming tool, no matter how gently it is used. This does not seem to cause him any more distress than usual. If anything, it helps because I don't have to work at tangles as long to break through the matting, as this rake cuts through the worst of the snarl without scratching his delicate skin. The sharp part is on the INSIDE of the curved teeth, so it's impossible for the blade to cut their skin (or yours). This is a nice solution to offer some extra safety when grooming especially wiggly pups.All-in-all, a de-matting rake like this is a great tool to have in your arsenal for pets who are prone to tangles. It's perfect for our papillon! I don't find it as helpful for de-shedding dense-coated dogs (like my Klee Kai) who do NOT tend to get mats: the teeth really need to catch on something for it to work.
