Does NOT read chlorine correctly, or was faulty. Sent back and got a refund from Amazon

I have a couple of these and I compare them with my other digital meters to make sure it is accurate. Yes. The PH is accurate with +/- 0.1 with my others. Owing a digital PH meter is a must have for any hot tub. It saves major amounts of time. One thing to know with most of these digital PH meters is they only last a year at best. I have yet to have one last longer. (hence why I always have a least 2 in case one fails...worth it!)

I was looking for a digital solution for checking my in-ground pool chemicals. Even after calibrating it the readings were all over the place. It was especially noticeable when I compared it to the readings using my good old fashioned chemical test kit. Some of these types of units may definitely work, but I didn't find that to be the case with this one.

This tester worked great and seemed to be accurate as compared with my other cheap tester that I use on my fish tank. I have used several times on my pool to check chlorine and salinity levels. This tester is worth the money, it was shipped quickly and arrived undamaged. The calibration process was quick and easy and could be performed by anyone in just a few minutes. I've tried high end testers that use strips and aren't impressed, I find these stick types of testers to be more accurate and much easier to use.

Chlorine sensor does not work at all. It would show anywhere from 0.1-0.3 when the actual level is 10. I got a replacement and it was the same way

The buffer powder that you use to calibrate the gadget (all 3) are needed every 2-3 weeks per their instructions. As far as I can tell, that's not mentioned anywhere in their description. Not what I was expecting. I want a gadget I can just turn on, dip in the water, and be done. Returning this

Got this to replace the chemical test strips. Works exactly as I was hoping. Quick readings and makes treating a hot tub a lot easier! Would definitely recommend!

I use this to test the salt and PH in my hot tub. I don't need (or necessarily understand) the other functions. I have tested the PH readings versus the test kit using drops and it seems right on target. I have only tested the Salt using test strips, but it seems to match up fairly well. You sort of need to keep the instructions handy in order to know what all the different modes are when your using it. I took off one star because the calibration uses special chemicals. They came with the tester, but I have no idea when I would need to calibrate again and then I would have to buy more.
