Installation Guide:
Step 1: Disconnect battery.
Step 2: Determine negative cable.
Step 3: Choose a suitable mounting position for the switch.
Step 4: Both kits have cable terminal ends needed to complete shut-off switch installation.
Step 5: Install switch. Please refer to the diagram above for the specific wire installation. On a car equipped with a body ground wire, if this wire does not cross the switch when the car is started, it will cause the body ground wire to melt.
Note: Do not attach positive and negative cables to the switch at the same time, which may cause battery explosion.
Step 6: Reconnect battery and check for correct operation.
Note: Be sure ignition switch is in Off position before turning shut-off switch to Off position to clear up voltage spikes that could damage ignition components.

A small amount of rain and this thing just quit working completely. When it DID work, it worked great. Unfortunately a smattering of rain and now they don't work at all. If I could ask for a refund I would, but unfortunately I'm past the 30 day window.

Ordered as a battery cutoff for an older hot rod and assembled this onto the lower firewall. Looks surprisingly nice (far better than expected), really happy with the purchase. Way better having this cutoff be remote to the firewall instead of disconnecting the battery under the cab! Worth the convenience alone.
