This recessed battery switch was a great replacement to my toy hauler battery switch which was installed in the cargo compartment in plain view, which meant that loading stuff in it could turn the switch and disconnect the battery, which is exactly what happened. One day the battery was dead and I had to replace it, so I also replaced the disconnect with this. No more possibility of failure. It wasn't to hard to install, I had to use a sabre saw to cut a larger hole (hole saw did not work due to fabric covered panel) but the flange and cover completely hid the hole. Looks great!

Very water resistant to stand up to the rain and elements. Easy to switch on and off and super simple to install. Perfect for my portable power box!

For some reason, I was surprised at how large this switch is as I opened the box. The opening is roomy enough for large fingers to reach in to turn the key, and at over 4" deep there's quite a large recess inside.The key comes out when turned to the third position if security is a concern; otherwise it's locked in place in the off and on positions. It turns easily, but has a satisfying and decisive feel as it snaps to. It had negligible internal resistance when tested with my multimeter (something like 0.01 Ohms). Connected to my riding mower battery, no electrical arcing could be detected between its contacts as it was switched on.Durable, functional, and electrically sound: this switch meets all my battery shut-off needs.

This is a nice protected switch assembly. The weatherproof housing is perfect to keep the switch from moisture and from being seen. The switch itself is a good quality and the key turns with a firm click. The housing was bigger then I expected and it did not come with any mounting hardware.

This works really well to help ensure my trailer battery doesn't get drained from sitting. Installation was easy. Turning it on and off is simple and quick. It's definitely worth having a few on hand for other vehicles and equipment.
