I like the long neck it allows me to set the height I need. I bought a small shallow baking tray from Walmart for $10, drilled 4 small holes into it and used some small nuts and washers to secure the tray to mount. I use this tray to hold my keys, flashlight, LED remotes and drum keys, great at home and gigs. BTW, the 1.5" drum rack clamp is made by Gibraltar and costs about $25 here on Amazon. Not selling or pushing anything, just sharing my little project.

This is the one to get as its mounting rod is much longer than all the other similar products. This makes a huge difference. Especially in having to set up quickly for live gigs.I have been using electronic drums for 20+ years. Why Roland makes their mounting rod so short and nearly unusable I don't know.

Looks sturdy, an overpriced piece of metal. The shaft is 4.25" long, 2in longer than the plastic piece that came with my Strike module. However it's too thick, 7/8" in diameter and cannot fit into normal edrum clamps. 3/4" would have fit, it's such a little (annoying) difference, makes me feel disappointed as now I'm forced to buy another piece of hardware. it came without screws.

Perfect for my ddrum ddti midi drum trigger module. It came with screws and they fit the module.
