I have upgraded two additional bass drums, one 16" and another 22", with this mount type. Lets me take my single or dual toms from two other Gretsch kits whenever I need them for oddball gigs like pit band, small space, etc. Gibraltar hardware is top quality.

I made the bold move of deflowering my virgin Birch Bobinga bass drum and installed the bass drum Tom mount on my Tama kick. I know a lot of purists will wince but it it the setup I wanted for a ride Tom and SPD-x. It works great. I would probably give it a five but I would want to see how well it whereas with prolonged use.

I used several Gibraltar clamps and brackets when I built my drum set and they've all been excellent. This bracket is no exception. It holds my two toms to my bass drum securely and looks good while doing it! The only improvement I'd like to see Gibraltar make is to add an instruction sheet with a template and suggested drill bit size. This would speed up the installation time but is no reflection on the excellent quality of the unit itself.
