Saved my Key Lime tree which was in a container under partial shelter and a fig tree in a container under no cover during the Polar Vortex freeze of Jan. 2025 here in Central Texas. My Key lime even had buds on it after removing the cover, and very bright green leaves. Fig tree had new growth appearing even when a few leaves had dried. I will purchase more of these for next year, for sure.

Made of good quality non woven fabric. Oversized with drawstring bottom keeps the cover in place even during strong winds and does not crush the plant. Sturdy construction. Worth the little extra cost as compared to others.

The weave of these bags seems nice and tight and should do a better job of keeping the ground's heat in than a sheet or blanket because of the solid construction. They're a good height for small and medium plants. We should all be IGNORING the drawstring at the bottom of the bags because the bags need to make contact with the ground, forming a bubble that allows the heat from the ground to rise up into the bag. Tying it around the stem of the plants basically just gives the plants a bag of cold air. I'll be securing the opening of the bags to the ground as wide as they allow to let in as much as heat as possible, and securing the entire edges of the bags with rocks or bricks to prevent as much leakage as possible. Winter is coming.
