It arrived on time and will work fine. A little pricey but not a big issue.

Perfect for a sand filter, as it works very well for that.Do not return as the return costs/restocking fees are the the same as purchase price, minus the tax paid. You will get nothing back.

You can use it directly in your aquarium without having to clean it first. Depending on what type of plants you want to add to your aquarium, you can put a substrate at the bottom and this sand on top of it. Also works well with plant fertilizer tabs.

I never tried any other substrate other then traditional rocks, always natural. I wanted to try sand but at $80 for 50#, and needing 100#. I figured I would try this as it was much cheaper in comparison.I've had this now for 3 weeks and the only thing I've noticed is some plants don't thrive as easily. All my grasses died out? Idk if I need to add something for my plants. Never had to in past with rock substrates. I may just add pots for plants with substrate in pots and attach some plants to driftwood. Easy work around. The cleanup so far is very easy. I have alot of filtration and wave maker and I get really one pile of debris. Easy to suction clean. In the end I think it looks great for the value. Being white you sure can see all the deris. As it all sits on top too. Where as with rocks, things settle into substrate. Maintenance is greater with this by far.

It’s so sandy it’s like it’s real sand.
