Works like it should. Does not stop on its own like others we use. Pretty loud for having a “silencer” on it. Build quality seems pretty solid. Been using it for about six months. Only issue is finding replacement 5/16 studs. The Allen head on the mandrel is smaller then all our other rivnut tools so they don’t swap over like our 1/4*20 mandrel do.

Works well. Be careful not to hold forward to long. There is a thin line between just right and to much. Product comes with extra studs which is a very nice feature. I would buy again.

I install a LOT of rivnuts and was previously using the manual tool. I had to find a faster way. I bought the metric set and it has worked well for me cutting my time down by about 75% (at least). The capscrews used in the mandrel do get worn and cause it to stop working, but extras are in the kit. What I liked about it the most is that you can just buy extra capscrews from a place like McMaster Carr because there is nothing special about them. TIP: I found that if I dip the threads if the capscrew in grease every time I install one it dramatically increases the life of the capscrew. I previously would get 6 or 8 done until I started using grease, now I get at least 30 before changing them out.

I was so excited together this product more so than any of my other tools that I needed to use for my van build. I did a ton of research on the type of tools I needed and since I was short on time, I decided to go with this pneumatic Rivet Gun which included all the sizes I needed. The timing was perfect and it looked like I was going to be able to finish the floor with L-Track over the weekend. After drilling all the holes on the floor and double and triple checking the fit of my subfloor, it was time to insert the outserts. The first 6 worked like a charm and I was getting on a roll. Then I got a spinner...the pneumatic tool didn't compress the outsert and instead was stuck to the outsert, so basically I could not remove the tool/bolt from the outsert. Since the mandrel was stuck to the bolt, the only way to remove this was to use a hacksaw blade with some tape around it as a handle as it was too close to the floor. Of course I tried to get to the ones from under the van, but nothing worked. I went and purchased 4 new bolts from the hardware store (grade 12.9) so very strong bolts. Well I proceeded to insert more outserts and it failed after two. cut the bolt again and tried it again. In total I was able to install 14 outserts over 8 freakin hours! Then I ran out of bolts and strength in my hands from using the hacksaw blade. After reading all the negative reviews on this product, I realized that the bolts are junk and the pneumatic tool isn't strong enough to crush the outsert so you end up with spinners.....I needed to put 48 outserts in place and was not successful. I will need to go get some manual insert tools to finish my job. Even though I ordered additional bolts, I do not want to damage my van any further from getting spinners with this tool. The worst part is that there is no way to remove the bolt because of the mandrel. I wish I could just get my money back....but apparently it is too late to get a refund because it sat in my garage brand new until the day I needed it. I took zero pictures because of the frustration, fatigue and swearing that got in the way. This deserves zero stars and I hope everyone gets to read this. Maybe if it was a project where you had the access to the back of the bolt with ease, it might be easier....or not. Aaaaaarrrrrgggghhhhh!

Comes with box...better quality than expected...kit comes with small bearings...engineering far better than I expected...I'm impressed with the quality ...haven't used it yet...but first impressions are. .Excellent value for money.
