Bought this August 1. It was delivered and installed on August 4. Worked great until I shut pump off today August 22 and it snapped

This was an exact replacement for a part that never should have been made out of the original ceramic material. Thought we were going to have to take the pool down or purchase a small sand replacement system which was going to be a couple hundred dollars this solve the problem for $10

Good quality pin. Stainless steel is barely magnetic (dependant on structure and components). This pin was a perfect length but slightly loose compared to original ceramic pin so is slightly noisier due to play in movement. I expect this can lead to future failure, however for the price vs. replacing overpriced core or pump, is worth the possibility of it lasting. Will update upon issue or after much run time.

It is slightly thinner than the original ceramic pin and there for it does not rotate as well. It worked ok for about 3 days and then started getting louder and the rotor ate parts of the pin. Do not recommend it.

broke after 3 weeks, and of course I'm past the return time frame... Good idea in theory, but not going to work long term because the impeller is magnetic so the stainless won't spin properly

Useless and had to be returned. Just too thin. The impeller just rattles instead of spinning.
