I'm not sure if these are just made with poor material, can't take being outside in the Florida shade, or both, but this was a replacement for the original that suffered the same fate. I thought the first pump might have somehow been damaged when installed because I went to take off the front cover to change a busted tube and the plastic holding the latches just crumbled. Bought this to replace it and it did the same thing when changing a tube again. The clear plastic holding the latches on will break apart after a short time. Currently have one with a screw on face, we'll see how that goes.

My old case to my water softener/filter was cracked and no longer pumping correctly as a result. I bought this and it worked perfectly. (I had to search for a how-to video to figure out how to get my old one off.) Saved me a bunch of money.
