A game changer, no more mixing chemicals to test ph and salinity of my pool.Compared the results with my usual kit. Results were spot on.Fast and easy to use.

Pretty simple to use. My salt level in pool was too high, and the reading was confusing. There is a small formula in the instructions telling you if it is too high, you would need to convert the reading. Still confusing, but as I backflush and add water without adding more salt, I see this level going down, so I am sure it is working as it should. Comes with the batteries already installed, so easy to read and use.

Purchased this primarily for quick salt measurements in pool. Have compared it's results to 3 sources (local pool store testing, a Taylor 2006K test kit, and the Hayward chlorinator output). The three other sources are in the 3500-3700 range, while this unit shows 3100, thus 400 lower than lowest of the other sources. Thus I can't use it. Also, for reference, it has a pH reading that also reads about 0-5-0.7 higher than the other sources I use (again, pool store test, the Taylor test kit, and test strips). This unit is very convenient, but accuracy lacks for my purposes.

I LOVE It. I am not a new hot tub owner but I am a new salt water tub owner and I've struggled getting it balanced. To the point that I dumped it, refilled it and after the first use I felt like I still couldn't get it balanced. On the strips it would look like it was close to the right color but I wasn't quite sure what I should do to make it right. Now I could see exactly if my PH needed to go up or down! When I used the test strip after multiple adjustments of the PH all of a sudden the ALK also read perfectly instead of 'I think ok?' Apparently I'm not good at deciphering colors on the strips. But this was a life saver. First time I got in the tub KNOWING that it was balanced since I could verify on both the strips and this handy little tester! Definitely recommend - especially if you are new to hot tub owning or not sure if you are reading the strips correctly.

So much better to use this tool than to keep running to the pool supply house. Now I can easily check the chemistry of my pool at any time. Order some small plastic bottles to keep the calibration reference liquids in. Check the Ph, salt level or dissolved solids anytime you choose.

Seems to be very accurate- matches the readings from a nearby pool store’s commercial water testing equipment. Great price for a well made, accurate water test capability.

Results for salt ppm very close to expensive test strips and very close to my pool chlorinator +/- 350ppm.A must have if you own a salt water pool. This would have saved me having to spend an extra $500 in water after I raised my salt level to just over 6000ppm thinking that my aging salt cell was reading correctly. My salt cell showed 2200ppm and I trusted it and added more salt...mistake. I had to remove 8000 gallons of salt water and replace it with fresh clean water to bring the pool down to 4000ppm so my chlorinator would come on and do its thing.I should have purchased this unit sooner.I've since replaced my aging salt cell with a new one and it reads within +/- 350ppm of this unit so everything is finally back on track.
