Great little pump. Makes putting gas in my ATV and lawn tractor much easier without spilling has all over the place. I have ordered 3 of these that are similar, if not exactly alike over the last couple of years and this one was much better priced and a far better value purchase. It functions just as good as any of the others that I have bought and I really like the shut off nozzle that some of the others did not come with.

Most importantly, this pump does what it is supposed to do. It arrived in a retail box with instructions included. While it is fairly intuitive and easy to figure out, the instructions are not particularly clear. It took me a minute to realize that you need EITHER 6 AA or 2 D batteries (although it is noted on the listing page).My test use for this pump was to transfer gas from my snowblower back to the can. I usually just let leftover fuel in the tank burn as the blower runs through it. I have tried several variations of hand pumps, but they always seem to make a mess. After putting it in the tank, turning it on and pressing the lever on the other end, gas flowed easily---with no mess!The only downside that I'll mention is that it can't suck from the flat bottom of the tank. There was a little more left in there than I would like but I can live with that as most was able to get back to my can.

Makes it so much easier to transfer fuel from a gas can. It works quickly and with less mess, just don't forget to take your batteries out if not using it for awhile. The quality of the materials seems to be pretty good, and I can see this lasting a bit if not used daily.My Star Rating Scale:5 stars - Perfect, or as close to perfect as possible and would definitely recommend to anyone.4 stars - Works well, but could see some minor changes that could make the product better. I've used this pump a couple of times, with water and then gas, and it has worked well. I used 6AA batteries and it pumped plenty fast for me. The nozzle is very convenient for controlling the flow. Construction seems decent enough and hopefully it holds up well, always a concern with these types of products, but not too big of a risk at this price. One pretty big concern I do have is that there doesn't seem to be any kind of filter. The impeller is just exposed, and I've seen other pumps like this have some sort of filter to at least stop some debris from clogging or ruining the pump.

Feels dense and high quality, but doesn't flow very quickly and disintegrated the first time it clogged. Not recommended.
