Section sizes are not efficient . Bought the 6 footer and it would not fit in luggage . Figured the 6 footer would - but the lower piece with the reel seat is the sameSize as the 7 footer only the other two pieces are smaller wtf? I either have to cut the this one or return it ?!

This is a surprisingly high quality rod for this price. I've had plenty of cheap rods from Amazon and this one held up better than any. Next time I'm buying the baitcaster version and getting it less stiff.

The rod has a nice bend to it. It's strong and casts well. I've only taken it out to a small lake to go catfishing just to test it out before I go surf fishing. Handled a 4 and a half pound catfish good. Probably will be leaving an update after that. But it's pretty portable for an 8 foot rod. I like it

Solid rod at a good price. Lightweight but sturdy with a sensitive tip and easy handling. I plan to get a second one for myself and another for a gift.

Wanted a heavy duty rod that could go on the plane. So far it seems to be an OK rod. Fiblink makes a good rod for the money. I have other Fiblink travel rods that I like. It comes with a very nice soft rod case. I bought the 7' 20-50 lb version for mostly bottom fishing for Halibut, cod and rockfish. It seems to have the power for how its labeled. I haven't caught anything big yet so I cant say how durable it is. I would call it more of an inshore rod than offshore. Dont think its going to cut it for tuna! I think they might sell more rods if they gave it a better name. Crazy Tornado sounds like it should come with a zebco 202 reel! Just kidding, I am using it with a Lexa 400HD.

Put the rod together and did a flex test, it broke right away. Do yourself a favor and buy a shimano. Can't get a refund now because I'll be past the return date date when I get back from work.

Mine is the 6ft version, I'm absolutely loving this rod for it's construction and durability. I've paired it with a Penn Fathom 2 speed lever drag (FTH15LD2, also from Amazon) loaded with 40lbs braid. The largest fish i caught using this rod (to date) is a 4kg stingray that put up a very good fight but could barely bend the rod!I've absolute confidence this rod can handle double-digit fishes easily. I've not taken down the rod since Day 1; the fittings are very tight (good thing) and will probably need some grip/non-slip cloth to help.I've placed an order for the spinning version and hoping it will be as good as this !Tip for this rod : Don't bother to watch the rod tip for fish bites, small bites won't register. This rod is suitable for dropping bait to the bottom, set the drag properly and put the rod in a rod holder (secure the rod) , go get a beer while waiting for the big one to bite!

It’s hard to find a multi- piece casting rod that is 7 feet and rated for 20-30 lbs. this looks and feels very sturdy, and the sections stick together very snug. Nice carrying case. I have a one piece Abu Garcia 7 foot rod, and this an absolute pain to travel with. I have banged the end tip so many times it’s now damaged. The last was banging it on a hotel ceiling. I also banged the tip in an elevator. This 3 piece rod will be great for traveling. I am taking it on a flight soon. I will never get a one piece 7 footer again.

I don't know what I was expecting, but I wasn't expecting this quality. It is very stiff, as should be expected for a 2-8oz lure rating. I did kind of expect it to be over-rated for lure weight, but it looks to fulfill what it advertises. The friction fit of the pieces is SURPRISINGLY strong. I have strong confidence in the durability of this rod and look forward to using it (I will update my review when I do).I was expecting something that got the job done, and possibly broke after a dozen uses, but could be brought on a plane. Instead this appears to be a super sturdy rod with the added benefit of portability.I will note, as did another reviewer, that the reel seat is a TAD lose, but it will tighten up just barely enough if you put a little effort in.

Most of my rod are 1 piece and not practical traveling with family so i bought the 8' casting 3 piece. I paired it with Quantum CBC 30 and it seems to have a good balanced. Tested its lifting capability with different lead weights and seems to bottom out at 5.25 pounds with a slight angle of about 15 degree. originally plan for #20 mono but that will max out its capability, it will be a #15 rig. I tried casting different jighead weight and it will work for .5 to 2.0 ounces lures with the sweet spot at 1 ounce. The fit and finish is decent. with the tip portion being slight undersize (a little loose) but I don't anticipate any problem with it. With A good bend the under size top section is apparent. The handle is just perfect for my style, bottom handle is about 13.5" to the reel. Very well balance not top or bottom heavy. Guide seems okay it will do. This will serve as a bay rod casting swimbait or live bait. Seems to be a capable surface popper for striper, california delta popper not over 3 ounces. After a few trips catching a few dozen bay bass, sandbass and calico bass the rod is performing really well dor SoCal inshore fish. So now I got a rig that can stay in the corner of my trunk while traveling and will be standing by for duty inconspicuously. Now if not traveling with family, it will still makes an excellent backup. For $50 this is a no brainer choice. Will update after a good season of work ups.
