I'm very impressed with this device. As someone who works in mechanical engineering, I can tell that a lot of thought and no doubt some trial and error went into the development of this thing. My dog loves it. I keep the device itself on a bar stool so the dog can't mess with it, and the treats drop onto a soft cushion so the pieces don't bounce too far. I appreciate how you can adjust with the little sliding door on the inner container to control how much you want it to dispense per button-push (or to adjust based on treat size). Price is reasonable. Recommend.

My golden retriever is not the brightest, and it took him a while to figure it out, but once he did he loves running back and forth to push the button and get treats. The included training instructions were very helpful.

Still works months after purchase for a very busy little English springer spaniel pup! The sound is good, good quality, perfect for puppy sized dog food and serving. You can control the quantity that comes out each time. She learned to use it after five minutes of me pressing on it and her seeing the food drop out. Then using her paw to do it. The bowl part isn’t loud enough to scare either. My suggestion is one person does the training.

Good design except it doesn’t work when you’re charging it. So u have to wait for it to die, then plug it in to charge and it’s out of commission until you unplug it. If could keep plugged in all the time it would be perfect.

My Dane loves this thing. She stands there and punches the button repeatedly. It has lasted a while with a Great Dane stepping on the button, so I would say it’s built well.Pros: Easy to clean. Easy to store; it’s nice they added a spot for the button. Lasts quite a while on one charge. Super simple to setup. Definitely worth it if you have a dog that likes to stay busy or needs to slow down while eating.Cons: Inconsistent treat distribution. Some times there are many treats, some times there are no treats. It takes time to find the sweet spot. Capacity. If you’re feeding a large dog, you’ll be filling it at least two or three times.

Good toy for the intelligent hound but could be better. My 36kg Ridgeweiller learnt it quickly and enjoys it, although having taught her to nose target previously definitely helped with this. Overall I would be happy to pay more for a heavier, sturdier, more consistent unit with larger capacity.Pros:-It mostly works as advertised.-USB rechargeable batteries in both dispenser and remote, no need to buy batteries.-Good sounds in remote and can be programmed with your own voice.Cons:-Far Too light. The photos are misleading as the toy is actually v.small. However, the tray the treats drop into is big enough for a large dog, so the size isn’t specifically an issue, but the unit is v.light and can be knocked around easily. I’ve trained my dog not to do this but it feels flimsy and can be pushed/toppled easily. Better grip pads/a suction cup on the base of both the dispenser and the remote holder (curiously there IS one on base of the unprotected remote), would be a potential solution.-The kibble capacity is relatively low, essentially the volume of a tennis ball. I’m using Purina Pro plan large athletic puppy which are 6(?)mm triangular kibbles.-Kibble isn’t consistently dispensed. Sometimes you get one, sometimes 7, sometimes none which confuses the dog. Because it’s sometimes none, it teaches the dog to press the button multiple times, so mine has started doing this to collect larger amounts of kibble on each ‘lap’. One solution might be a timed lock-out (5 secs?) preventing repeated button activations but this could be problematic on the times when it doesn’t dispense.

My mutt, who is not particularly “interactive” with toys, did learn to use this, and loves it.The way I taught him to press the button was to smush a little American cheese in the grooves of the button, and place the dispenser right next to it. When he went to lick it off, the dispenser spit out treats, and he quickly made the association. My dog is 55 pounds and easily eats the bits out of the dispenser. It’s sturdy, easy to clean, charges well (and quick) and is easy to set up and load treats into.So far the design is a work horse! Definitely worth the money.

Perfect treat and food toy to help my hyper Labrador on rainy days. She's a mid-aged dog and very food motivated so it took her less than 5 minutes to figure it out. I'm surprised it can actually dispense her large food kibble and it fits almost a whole cup so I can give her her meal in this rather than just a bunch of treats. It's also the nicest-looking one I could find and has been sturdy with how much my dog has been interacting with it. I don't know why I waited so long to get this- it's definitely worth it!

My dog has the unfortunate habit of immediately devouring any food put in front of her. I tried various slow feeding bowls, but they hardly slowed her down at all. Since you can set this to only dispense a few kibble at a time, it drastically increased her feeding time. There was a bit of a learning curve to get her to push the button. She was scared of it at first and refused to go anywhere near it. We put a little bit of whipped cream on the button and she eventually decided that her favorite treat was well worth whatever risk the button posed. Then she discovered that the body dispensed more food and she was hooked. I made this sound easy and simple. Not gonna lie. It took about a week for her to be willing to touch the button. I’ve had this feeder for almost 2 months now and haven’t had to charge it once. I’d say that’s pretty darn impressive. Especially since I forget to turn off both pieces sometimes. A little kibble does sometimes get stuck in the machine. But the lid comes off pretty easy and then it’s like the French fry in the bottom of the bag. One last treat for my baby girl. It’s a cute little thing. I like the stickers that come with it. It is a little light, but there isn’t any reason it needs to be heavy. The button and main housing are holding up great to twice daily use. I’d highly recommend this to anyone looking for a way to slow there pawed friends eating habits. The ball holds about a cup of food, so you may need to refill it if you dog eats more then that in a sitting. The little scoop that came with it is annoying. I’ve ended up just using a cup and coaxing the food into the slot on the internal food ball.
