Replacement Power Steering Pump
- 1. If your car has signs like a whining noise while turning the wheel, the steering wheel becoming slow to respond and stiff, or squealing & groaning noises when the vehicle starts, you might need to replace your old power steering pump.
- 2. If still have noise like whining after replacing the new power steering pump, Please check if there is air entering.
Precautions for Installation
About Noisy:
- Check whether the resistance of the suction pipe is too high.
- Check whether the pressure adjustment of the safety valve is too high.
- The gas in the pump must be evacuated, check the tightness of each joint, prevent air from entering.
About Leaking:
- Check whether the pipes and pipe joints are damaged.
- Tighten fixing the screws of the booster pump.
- Check, clean or replace the filter device, keep the oil circuit unblocked, and avoid the valve core being blocked by foreign matter.

Well the pump was a bad decision for me. To start with it did not include the pressure side O-Ring that as far as i know most other pumps come with... not a huge deal i found one. I decided to try this pump because it already had the pulley installed for not really any extra cost but without any pulley specs listed i assumed it would be the correct one. Good thing i compared before i installed the pump.. it is like an inch smaller in Diameter and it is a 7 groove and my system is an 8 groove. Not a huge deal either i just had to swap two pulleys instead of one. The huge deal for me was today it stopped producing pressure except a little bit at a high RPM. It has been installed for about 2 weeks!! Huge disappointment.

Installed the power steering pump, bled the lines, and tested its operation. The new pump worked. However, the pump leaked from a bolt at the top of the pump. I am not able to get any tool on it while installed, because the bolt head is too shallow.I will remove the pump and try to tighten the bolt. If unsuccessful, I will return the pump.This additional labor is not worth the price savings of this pump over higher priced, higher quality pumps.
